[nitpick] No, it’s not. I mean, sure, there’s overlap what with the “no pork” rule but halal allows things like meat+cheese combos and kosher does not, as just one of several examples. If halal is not available most Muslims will take kosher in a pinch because its rules are even more strict, but the reverse is not true. They are not interchangeable [/nitpick]
