Must be tough working for Pirro. Being told to try 3 times to get a grand jury to sign off on felonious assault by sandwich and having to still try to make it stick as a misdemeanor. Who wants that kind of BS on their CV? Then again, they all know what they were signing up for, so I hope the paycheck is worth it.

I suspect that, under normal circumstances, the vast, vast majority plead out well before this point, but with three failed indictments on the felony change, why would anyone make a guilty plea? The odds of this guy beating this charge are way, way higher than you’d expect with a typical, competent prosecution.
And this is the other way regular people can resist Trump: Don’t plead out, ever. Make them do the work, even for their kangaroo kourts. Tie them up, tire them out, because they just don’t have the resources to prosecute tens of thousands of BS cases. Force them to either stop the stupid shit, or to take the next step, and eliminate actual trials. Make it clear that they’re taking that next step, just so they can toss people in prison over stupid shit.

Most of them probably didn’t sign up for it, assuming the great purge/replacement hasn’t gotten very far. They could always resign instead of complying, but that’s a fairly big ask in this economy.
