New Test

Ok, this is in the same vein as the carrot test, but I think this time I have all the details

I did it and I am, indeed, average. I did figure out the trick, though, so I’m not “freaked out” by the result. Do I get brownie points for that? If you do actually think of something other than the “average” answer, my hat is off to you–perhaps you are special
Are you the 2%?

This is weird. Follow the instructions! NO PEEKING AHEAD! Free will or synaptic wiring? You be the judge.

Do the following exercise, guaranteed to raise an eyebrow. There’s
no trick or surprise.

Just follow these instructions, and answer the questions one at a time and as quickly as you can!

Again, as quickly as you can but don’t advance until you’ve done
each of them … really.

Now, arrow down (but not too fast, you might miss something).

Are you thinking of a Kangaroo in Denmark eating an Orange? Told
you this was FREAKY!!

If not, you’re among the 2% of the population whose minds are different enough to think of something else. 98% of people will answer with kangaroos in Denmark when given this exercise. Freaky, huh?

Keep this message going. This one is actually worth sending on to others. Forward it to people you know and see if they can see if they are usual or unusual.

OK, now how in the hell does something like that work?
HOW?!

Heheheh… should I tell him, boys and girls?

You are forced to the letter “D”. From then on it’s probabilities.

Yes, I was thinking of an orange Danish kangaroo, but only because I used to have one when I was a child.

“I’ll tell him but I don’t think he’ll be very keen. He’s already got one, you see!”

Thanks, Pluto :stuck_out_tongue:

Geez, I was hoping someone would come up with a Deutchland dog eating a guava before the gig was up :frowning:

Well, ok, after my last post, I re-read the thing, and now I feel d-m-u-b for being so easily baffled… Still, it’s a good little jolt!

*BTW, Gr8Kat, I know a chrome toaster is a rather masculine-sounding object… but I am female. Not that it matters, but I thought I’d let ya know!

D’oh! Sorry, Chrome!

Sorry, Gr8Kat! I didn’t think it was a spoiler for anyone who had followed your directions and taken the test.

Mea culpa!!

Okay, I did think of Denmark, but my animal was a koala and the fruit I thought of was a apple. I guess that makes me special.

How many countries are there that start with D? Denmark is obviously the one that’s most commonly known. Others I know of are Dominica, Dominican Republic, Djibouti…

Hmm, I wonder how hard it is to predict that people will guess Denmark? I’d put money on it.

Shadowfox, that’s exactly what I thought of.

I hate these because every time I knew EXACTLY what I was going to be expected to answer… but couldn’t think of any alternatives. If only I could haev thought of Koala in the 10 seconds I allowed myself…

I thought of Deutchland first, but then thought “no, that isn’t my language” and went with Denmark.

I’m with MadPoet on this one. I knew that I’d be forced to pick a D right off the bat- when you add the digits in any multiple of 9, you get 9. However, as soon as I got to the country, I thought “Denmark!” Then I thought, “No, wait, that was too easy, come on, you’re the geography expert, think!” Of course, nothing happened. From there, I could see clearly where it was going, and I was powerless to stop it… I could have been the only one on this board with an iguana eating an apricot in Djibouti, but noooooooo…

Heck is where you go when you don’t believe in Gosh.

I did the same thing – sisters under the skin!

OK what does a canary in the Dominican Republic eat? Y…

I didn’t even finish.

I had a koala bear eating raspberries in Denmark. I had concluded that there are no other countries beginning with D. Apologies to any Dominicans, Djakartans, et al, reading this…

“His eyes are as green as a fresh-pickled toad,
His hair is as dark as a blackboard,
I wish he was mine, he’s really divine,
The hero who conquered the Dark Lord.”

I did the exact same thing, Opal. :stuck_out_tongue:

Then I went with Kookaburra and Apricot.

Teehee. I’m in the weirder 2%.

I don’t know a color that starts with a u. I got to Denmark and then went to kinkajou. Oh well.
