I’ve discovered that when I use MS Internet Explorer 5.5, which I just downloaded, all of the ahref tags on my websites that point to the frame “main” now cause the page to fill the whole window (what we used to call “_top”). Have others noticed this? If so, why the hell did they do this?
Dunno, babe, but I’m happy to rescue this from page 3 for ya. Maybe somebody else knows.
I haven’t downloaded 5.5 yet, therefore, this is a complete WAG. Is “main” now a reserved word of some sort if the newest form of html? I’ve run into problems like that upgrading in Access. If so, try doing a global search and replace changing “main” to “newmain” or something.
For some reason, the problem suddenly completely fixed itself. Weird.
Same here, some things were happening that were odd like the blue webpage progress bar looked differant but it all sorted itself out.
Things do seem to happen faster, menus pop out way quicker and the forward and back functions seem much faster.
I just downloaded it. What exactly did it accomplish? Besides being somewhat faster, I don’t notice any changes. Wait, yes I do, I no longer have a work symbol on my icon when things are loading. Piss me off. I use that to make sure I made the link.
