There’s a new ad for Viagra running, and I have to wonder if it’s the kind of message they should be going for. In it, a man comes to work and all his coworkers notice there’s something different about him but they can’t quite put their finger on it. So to speak.
“Did you get a haircut?” “Nope.” “Shave your mustache?” “No.” “New shoes?” “Uh-uh.” And so on. They never show the coworkers saying, “Oh, now I realize what’s different about Bob – he’s got an enormous erection!” But that’s clearly where the commercial’s headed. So to speak.
I appreciate the whole no-more-impotence-means-more-confidence-in-daily-life angle, but isn’t one of the key points about Viagra the idea that it’s a personal thing? And you wouldn’t want everyone around you to know you’re taking it?
