New window with IE: how do I make it auto. maximize?

The stupid window that pops up whenever I open something in a new window is too small! In fact, it changes size at night while I’m sleeping to annoy me. Is there any way to reset it so the default is bigger, or make the new windows pop up already screen-sized? Thanks!

Try this:

  1. Close all windows.

  2. Open a brand new window.

  3. Maximize it.

  4. Close it.

  5. Open a new window again.

My experience - when I’ve been paying attention, anyway - is that the new window mimics how I had the last window. If I had set it so it was a small size (not minimized, though), then the new one will do the same.
