AAAAAAHHH! IE is evil!

This isn’t all that life-threatening, but I tried googling, and the most specific I could get for searching is “little IE window” :stuck_out_tongue:

Basically, whenever I open a window, it starts as a little (we’re talking 1/8 screen width or so here) title bar, and you can’t see any of the window. To see what I’m talking about, resize the IE window to its minimum limits… :(.

How do you set IE to have a fixed (read: maximized) size whenever you open a new window (preferably even when you rt-click|open in new window)?

Bet: I’ll bet a slightly battered piece of aluminum foil that Q.E.D. answers first.

If I lose, the first poster can send an SASE to me to collect his winnings

Set it to the size window you want, and then hit file>close.

That should do it.

I’ll pass on the foil, BTW. Thanks though.

Basically Joey has it. One thing though, you have to manually resize the window. Clicking Maximize won’t work.

Oh also, I believe you have to manually drag the window to it’s maximized state, not use the “maximize” option.

This should do it:

Maximize the window and then click on file and choose close. Reopen IE. As far as I know there is no option under internet options to have the window maximized on launch.

Slee, who is not Q.E.D

Doh. simu-correctapost.

Dude, that contest ended like 30 seconds ago. Get with the program.

thanks guys… yet another thread that was answered in 30 minutes or less. You should think about stealing the domino’s idea… just charge money for everything, and it’s free if not answered in 30 minutes…

Geez,

In the time it took me to find my password everyone and Q.E.D. posted first.

Damn, and I could have used some tinfoil.

Oh, the maximize button does work.

sleestak has the right of it. The Maximize button does work.
