Well, I’m so close to my Glory of the Hero proto-drake I can taste it. All I have left to get are Split Personality, Less-Rabi (which I should get next time I run it, providing that I stay in PvP spec for that fight and just mash the wind shear button), and Zombiefest (which apparently just takes a group that knows what they’re doing).
To keep rolling with the achievement fest, I picked up Soul Power and Three Faced on my hunter last night with some guildies.
Spending an hour in Forge of Souls probably isn’t anyone’s idea of a good time, but it was a blast. Soul Power took around half an hour or so of working different strategies to keep the fragments from reaching him once he soulstormed. We got it thanks to a last second chains of ice from our DK, it was pretty epic I must say. Three Faced was just about timing and resetting when someone missed, I think we got it down after 4 tries.
I had more fun wiping with those guys than I thought was possible, definately looking forward to the alt raid with them tonight. Knocking out some heroics and grabbing my first LK kill.
This is the only downside to it that I can see, yeah. I just can’t bring myself to twiddle my thumbs in the dungeon queue for half an hour when I could be in AV in 1-10 minutes.
If someone is playing your version of the game (which they have to be, to be on the same servers), it doesn’t matter where they’re playing it from.
Especially considering a number of your attacks count as spells, so you’re not really hit-capped even at the standard melee cap. You don’t want to be abysmally low, but you should be able to get enough off gear to not need to gem/enchant for it.
It’s a good group, no? And now Jag is back on Cairne to join in the fun. Maybe I’ll even join in on the alt run tonight (wife-aggro pending).
Our ICC mount run was derailed when the OT had his video card blow up during a near Full House one-shot. He couldn’t get it fixed, and rather than get all the achieves without him we postponed the run. Had some fun in battlegrounds with some pre-mades, getting a few more achievements there (Arathi Basin All-Star, and whatever one you get for defending 3 nodes - actually ended that match with 3 assaulted and 4 defended nodes).
Welcome and thanks for de-lurking! You won’t see me much in-guild (I have a 50-something alt there, a Troll Hunter named Hasati), but I lurrrrrrve discussing things here. (No lie, I hold the record for most posts by a single user to a single thread on this board ever, for the previous version of this thread.)
Boohiss for bad luck, but good on you guys for waiting. Hopefully the karma will pay off! My own run is looking to kick off again on Friday, so I’m getting excited to finally have this shit done.
Come to think, we have several locks in the guild leveling up now; I might have Rum throw a few of the 32-slot soul bags in the bank (if only (a) the bank weren’t full and (b) the soul bags didn’t require eternal fire as part of their construction).
Yes, they’ll be part of the UI. My WAG is that this will go live with 4.0.1, before Cata drops–and that may be weeks away, instead of months. Anybody have a Warlock on the current PTR who can verify?
I’ve read the same thing. Not sure exactly how it will work, but it seems sorta similar to DK runes. 'Locks will have a set amount of soulstones that may be spent during combat, and possibly some mechanic to recharge them.
Speaking of tailors, I’m probably going to bring my priest Kene (tailor/enchanter) back to the BDL. The guild I joined for more consistent raids seems to have disintegrated; I rarely see more than 3-4 people online and I have not raided with them once since joining. If I’m just going to be pugging anyway I’d much rather hang out with the Doggies in guild chat than a couple of strangers.
3 of them, and they don’t regen in combat. Out of combat, they come back very quickly. Their use is almost totally PvP so far, which I’m not so sure about.
Nope, you can’t. If you come back there’ll be no reason to talk in the /sdmb channel except for new users/alts of course. I mean you and I had one whole conversation in that channel. I changed the color of that channel so it stood out more too
Hah! Welcome back to the fold.
Cool. Now the only question is where do I do this? I looked all over worldofwarcraft.com and battle.net and couldn’t even find a hint of a link as to where to buy these codes.
I was mainly concerned because I know that payment is handled differently in different countries (like China or Korea, or both, does pay-by-the-minute rather than monthly subscriptions), so thought that might make a difference in whether the game codes are valid from one country to the next.
