True, I had forgotten about that. We hates the humans, yes, so we don’t plays them often.
You can either wait for a quest chain to lead you there or you can just go find it on your own. Either way, it’s a function of physically finding the place. I haven’t gotten any word yet on whether “discovering” involves the normal discovery mechanic of being outside the instance, or if you actually have to zone in through the portal once and discover the inside.
The Worgen and Goblin racials are really pissing me off. They were *supposed *to be updating the other 10 races’ racials to be at the same level… and then they never got around to it. So now ISTM that Worgen and Goblins are fairly overpowered when compared to the older races.
The goblin rocket is the only one that might be OP. The others are just more situationally useful stuff, like everyone has.
BTW, I know it’s “as heads is tails” (call me Lucifer), okay, but I always thought it was a bastardization of the name Ecclesiastes, and maybe the name “Lucifer” was written in that book of the Bible somewhere!
Shup, SFG!:), You know how I am!

I’m with going Alliance on Cairne! I was going to do it anyway so my main can share heirlooms with my Horde alt. Just gotta wait for the holiday shopping to get done so my bank account doesn’t cry at me.
I curse Canada Post. I wantses! But it doesn’t look like I’m going to get it today.
I’m not trusting their tracking site, but it’s getting late in the day. Guess I’ll keep on grinding rep with the Oracles so I can buy Mysterious Eggs now that they only take 3 days to hatch.
Would it be horribly improper of me to bring my laptop to the office Christmas party on Friday?
The AH is absolutely dead, what with amateurs shooting themselves in the foot by posting things at throat-cutting prices and with everyone else out in the new zones. It’s almost 2PM here and Trade is dead.
Cata is hitting my mailbox today hopefully. In the mean time, I’m having fun poking along on my baby druid and experiencing the new questlines they put in.
I will say though, the quests in the Southern Barrens really make you angry at the Alliance if you play through as Horde. Not sure what it’s like on Alliance side though. But there are some very cool continuations from older quests such as Wailing Caverns twitch or Mankrik. cheer

Last night, my guild decided one by one to come join me in Arathi hoping for a Deathwing spawn and waiting for the end of the world. So we ended up with about 8-10 people parked in the ass end of nowhere chatting, pulling out mounts, and pvping to pass the time. We didn’t get His Deathiness, but it was a lot of fun dueling each other and chattering until 12:01 PST hit.
It was amazing to see our Wrathful enh shaman and our prot war go at each other – their duels lasted way longer than anyone else except the combat rogue and the holy paladin. Locks are still stupid OP, and nobody could dent the ele shaman.
Guild level 9, as in “Ember Puppy”.
I was gonna say fish feast was still orange at 450 and one could stock up with all the mats easily, use their Chef’s Hat for faster cooking speed…hmmmm…didn’t know you could pick up Cata mats before the release…what about the new recipes, how did those get found, bought and used so quickly?
Getting the “Chef de Cuisine” achievement required me going to the neutral AHs to buy a few alli recipes. That’s why it’s an excellent idea to have a cross-faction toon to help each other out for achieves, mats, etc. Just keep in mind that the Goblins require more gold for deposit.

Advantage to Cairne:
1 - People can send their BoAs cross-race now, right? So heirlooms for them what want them.
2 - We already have a guild and maybe a couple guild tabs or something. Bird’s alt is guildmaster, but unless he’s messed with the settings, anyone can recruit.
3 - Easier to switch between alts.
Disadvantages to Cairne:
1 - Altoholics like me who already have 10 toons on-server will have to pick someone to delete ![]()
2 - If Cairne & Emberstorm battlegroup go down, we can’t switch to our alts on another server.

Advantage #4: With people on both sides of the aisle, you can take advantage of the Alliance economy as well as the Horde one for any tough-to-find or overpriced items. (Muling items cross-faction via a neutral AH is very easy with two people on Vent.)
[/QUOTE]
The disadvantages really won’t affect us. I have 7 toons on Cairne and he has none. Up until now we’ve been running on Lightbringer so we can always go there if Cairne goes down (we’re not rolling on LB because he already has 10 toons there). So, Cairne it is.
For anyone who’s thinking about Alleria- I own a guild there so if anyone wants an invite to avoid a gazillion guild charters shoved in their face, let me know.
The new cooking recipes have been available for about a week? from the guy next to the new daily cooking quest giver in Stormwind and Ogrimmar. It’s a token system again like the one in Dalaran. What I find amazing is the HP the food heals you for is like 96000 or something like that.
The new cooking dailies. You get Chef’s Awards which can be used to buy new recipes right there at the vendor.
5:03 PM EST
Realm first level 85. (Druid)
Also max inscription and tailoring earlier in the day.
Yeesh!
OMG! That was hilarious!
In one of my hunter’s first quests, he was supposed to evacuate the city, so the first door he comes to he knocks, but is standing too far to the right of the door, and when it opens, WHAMMO!
I laughed out loud, cause it was like something you’d see in a cartoon.
Question: In his “Enter the world” pose, he has the head of a wolf (Worgen), but in the world, he’s human. Did I do something wrong when I set him up?
Thanks

:smack:
The cooking daily vendor in Org! I didn’t bother to look at what items he sold.:smack:
I think “worgen” form is an ability you pick up after finishing the entire bunch of quests in their starting zone. (It steps you through their creation lore, in effect.)
In the BDL…I see Rahuul as level 82 and Makig as level 81…everyone else is slacking.
Some of us work during the day!
I do see that my disk was “on the truck for delivery” at 7 am this morning, so it should be there when I get home. How I’m going to negotiate playing from my wife tonight is another obstacle.
Re: the AH, it was really scarce yesterday. I wanted to buy some flasks and all that was available was some Stoneskin, which is not super helpful for an spriest.
I read somewhere and I may be wrong but I think you are stuck in human form until level 14 or so, but it’s definitely after you finish all the starting quests you are doing now.
We should also look into grouping up as much as possible to give our BDL guildies these perks. I believe some of these perks are huge considering there are multiple toons each doper has in BDL.
If used carefully and appropriately, chloroform is a great negotiation tool.
j/k!!!
Aw, I was just teasin’!
Likewise. Plus, the new quest reward gear just looks too cool. Just check out my dwarf hunter after he finished all the Arathi quests! Everything but his hat, shirt, and swords is a quest reward.
I did just do a server transfer on my unplayed level 19 gnome rogue, though, so that he can deliver a full set of heirlooms to my warrior on Ysondre, a PvP server. I just wish they were PvP heirlooms!
Ah, gotcha.
Fortunately, my (Alliance) main didn’t have to go cross-faction to get that achievement. Are(/were) there more recipes availiable to Alliance, or were you just having a hard time finding enough on the Horde side?
I did the digital order/download of Cata, so I was technically able to jump in at midnight, I had to be to work at 6:00AM today and so decided to forgo that pleasure. And I just got home from work and haven’t logged in yet.
Had a bit of a funny last night while I was in Stormwind. Some goober in General chat said:
“OMG! I made some racial remark and somebody said Reported and they actually did it! F*** you, you oversensitive [long string of utterly vile obscenity deleted]!” (Seriously, I have a pretty high “offense” threshold, but you have to draw a line somewhere and his words were just not something you spout in a public forum.)
I thought to myself, “… and you clearly didn’t learn anything at all”, and reported them myself. I just thought it would be too funny if the idiot found his/her account suspended just in time for Cataclysm ![]()
