My orc warlock on Cenarion Circle, Fyrna Firebite, hit level 40 last night. That dreadsteed looks freakin’ awesome (and she’s in a level 7 guild, so has the additional mounted speed boost, so now she really zips along).
That said, I hate hate hate my voidwalker. He always wants to stand on the corpse I’m trying to loot or the object I’m trying to interact with. And he’s just plain stupid. I’ll send him in to attack a mob, and while he’s fighting the first mob two more will aggro on him … and then as soon as the first mob dies, he comes running back to me, apparently having never noticed the other mobs beating on him, and of course he drags them right back to me
Has anyone heard about this PvP addon that automatically marks opposing healers for you? Has it been around long? Is Blizzard going to do anything about it, or will people just stop doing BGs as healers? I haven’t done any PvP since Cata dropped, and was thinking about trying it out with my paladin, but I probably won’t bother if folks are using an addon telling them to make sure they kill me first.
I hear you about bloobs blocking your line-of-click. Hate that. But on the other thing, you can micromanage your pet’s attention. When the first mob is close to dead (and going to inevitably die from your DOTs), click on one of the other mobs, then click on “Attack” on your pet bar.
I don’t see that Blizzard will do anything about it, and I don’t see that people will stop doing BGs as healers. It’s not as if every single PVPer will be using it.
Besides, look at it this way. The more time a PVPer spends trying to kill you while you’re healing yourself, the less time they’re spending on those offensive allies of yours who are dogpiling the guy. When I’m in BGs as a healer, my position is more “just TRY to kill me, pal!” than “oh god oh god don’t notice me.”
Also, depending on how the addon marks you as a healer, if you know an enemy is using it you can subvert it. I would get great laughter out of being a PVP-geared Ret or Prot Pally who casts a ton of heals to get marked, then open up a can of whupass on the poor sap.
Edit: aha, I see. “By default HHTD will detect specialized healers spells only (for PvP)” So that may be a bit tougher. But there’s still ways to play with that.
That’s a good point - as long as I don’t go off by myself, I can keep myself alive for a pretty good while. Or at least, once I get some resistance gear.
Since I can kill that big brown spider level 76 elite over in Zul’ Drak (where I farm my leather), and get some really neat drops (in blue), does that mean I can kill ANY level 76 elite as long as they aren’t in a mob?
oh dear god where am i what i am doing how did i get here
Logged into my belf for Silverpine quests just now. I’m so lost and confused, I haven’t played Horde in months. I had to go to Org and went to see Garrosh and I thought he was going to eat me I’m such a tiny little Blood Elf twink (and not the WoW kind ).
Pleased to see Belloc Brightblade hanging around in the Hold, now I can pretend he made it out of Schnottz’s Landing alive. I was quite distressed when my nelf couldn’t find him again.
Ooo, did you kill Terror Spinner? He (she?) is a rare spawn monster, and I’ve never been lucky enough to find that one.
To answer your question, yeah, probably, especially if you’re wearing some Cataclysm gear. My level 85 paladin can easily solo Chillmaw, a level 81-82 elite undead dragon in Icecrown, who you have to kill for one of the daily quests from the Argent Tournament. It was a 5-man quest originally (though by the end of Wrath, it was easily done by a group of 3 and it wasn’t unusual to see a level 80 character in high-end raid gear soloing him.
Some new in-game friends helped us get dresses correctly and (mostly) did away with the intellect stuff, so I would appreciate a critique.
And while y’all weren’t looking we advanced to 82 and are now in Deepholm and only at 6%, because it is dark there, and I don’t do well in the dark.
To answer Rik, we almost finished Vash (I think there’s another quest called “The Great Divide”), gave up on Hyjal (couldn’t get the arch druid out of the fargin’ cave because of all the green mist), and I’m farming my ass off to raise the money to get DA Wolk’ that faster flying gryph.
Actually, I think I’m goin’ OCD (even worse than normal) on the farming because I end the night with not less than 6 stacks of Bohemian leather, 3 stacks of frostweave and at least 8 spider silks, along with high value drops.
So basically, I try to make at least $150.00 g’s a night.
And yes, I know: I may be running the prices on the leather down, but I’m watching that closely and so far I’m being bought out at 14 g’s a stack every time I list, so if I need to undercut, I will and just keep up with supply demand.
I’m in Deepholm with this quest and can’t find my way back into the temple. Can someone help me with co-ords for the entrance? I can’t find any on wowhead/wiki and I always have probs in dark places.
Dunno about co ords, but there is a trail of lava pools that points at/leads to the entrance. On the map look for deathwings fall. there is then the trail of lava i mentioned leading towards the big building in the middle. This will take you to the entrance.
I’m trying to level my herbalism up to 150 and I’m stuck at 141 because some of the herbs I can’t get credit for anymore.
So I looked up what might be AVAILABLE to go ahead and get me those 9 points, and I saw bloodthistle. Because I’m so close and because finding them is so tedious, I bought 2 from the AH, but even though they are in my bags, and I can’t get the game to advance me to 143.
