Christ, Savage Leather is going for almost twice as much Alliance side than Horde side.
Not that it bothers me!
My Alliance toon is very happy.

why am i just learning about this
Thought I’d shared this when I had my earlier epiphany. It really revolutionizes using the AH, I think. Changes it from guesswork or using PIA addons to a simple look-up.
The only thing they’re missing is volume - e.g. some of the jewel cuts may look like you can undercut the market and still make substantial profit, but the fact of the matter is no one ever buys those cuts.
Kushie, et al. That doesn’t work for me. I put ALLIANCE in their search box and all I got back was ranks.
Maybe it’s just geared for Horde?
Thanks

Quasi, go to the front-page to select the appropriate Realm/Faction. I just provided my bookmark, which is directly to the realm of most interest to me.
Here’s the list: http://theunderminejournal.com/
Thanks, hdc_bst, I found it and I can use it!
On a related subject, thanks to WoW that I have somewhere to go when things in my life overwhelm me!

… and then fly 6 minutes to its destination, and then found out you really didn’t
accept it and then have to fly back? Guess what? :smack:
Thanks

Wolkie’s stuck in “looting position”. I tried to log out, but the game won’t log me back in. That blue line goes all the way to the end after I hit “enter world” and then throws me out again.

Try closing out the game completely, then restarting it.
Problem solved. Probably due to game population.

The Knights Who Say Ja will finally get to level 2 today!!!
Thanks

In Tol Barad, if you have the Walk On Water Elixir and fish for a secondary profession, here’s what you can do: go down to the river, drink the elixir, get on your ground mount and travel upstream (the way to Wellson’s Shipyard). On the way, you’ll encounter ship debris. This is where I stop and fish and usually score at least three crates with goodies inside. I used to run on top of the water, but then I found out that Silka can run on water as well.
So… now you’ve got the Walk On Water (maybe 7 minutes left?)Elixir and you can either get off at Wellson’s or you can “round the bend” and get Captain P and then go back to Wellson’s, (using another bottle of elixir) which is what I do.
I do this on an almost daily basis, and those crates sure do come in handy. Plus I don’t have to worry about being attacked.
Maybe y’all can use this?
Thanks

Well, it took a little longer than I expected (that blue line must move in “macrometers” or something. I can barely see it move!), but due to my friends jayjay and Mister Rik, we got 'er done!
Together, I think we’re the best little guild in WoW. Yeah, we don’t move as fast as other guilds, but we also have a better bond than most, if I may say so.
One question though: there’s one perk what transports you to SW, but has an 8 hour cooldown. Why would I want that one, when the normal hearth only has a 15 minute one?
Thanks again and thanks to Nouveaus (I hope that’s right, Rik, excuse me if it isn’t) and jaejae, the rockinest, most patient guildmates Wolkie could have! I know I blabber too much sometimes, but it’s just 'cause I like you both and am glad to have someone to talk with in-game.
Wolkie, Silka and Quasi
I’ve actually dated two girls i met while playing WoW and both were incredibly hot. Seriously playmate level hot. I was shocked.
If you have that reward (it’s a cloak you have to buy) you can set your hearth someplace else and still be able to get back to SW quickly. But we’ll definitely need more people in the guild to get it - we need a level 85 of every class to earn it! There are two other cloaks at higher levels, one with a 4-hour cooldown (just requires getting to guild level 15) and one with a 2-hour cooldown (requires crafting 500 epic items amongst ourselves).
And hopefully you’ll see more of me again soon. Right now, these couple weeks before Christmas are very busy at my job (hooray, cooked dinner for 1300 people last night — dinner was at 6:00PM, and we started cooking at 8:00AM … my feet hurt).
So i finally decided to play my Resto Shammy Alt for the first time since the patch over the weekend and was able to get my gearscore high enough to queue for LFR…
So here’s me, just striving to not be terrible, and maybe learn how to heal a 25 man… And SUPRISE!!! i’m the raid leader… so much for lurking in the background. Oh well, actually kind of enjoyed myself, and was proud when we killed Ooze boss. Those little raiders paid attention to all my Raid Warning spam… i’m so proud of them, they grow up so fast…
Anyone know how it assigns Raid Leader in LFR? FWIW, i just queued all by myself (wasn’t the leader of a big group that queued together is what i mean).
I’m pretty sure Raid Leader is essentially random in LFR, as it is in LFG or Battlegrounds.
Started to queue for a new 5-man with my spriest last night, but I had blocked out of my memory how much it sucks to queue as dps. After 12 minutes I gave up and did a random BG instead.
I like this strat. I’ve used it, especially on my shamans (who get water walking without needing a potion). The waterways around the peninsula are a great way of getting around to quest or farm while avoiding entanglements (like PvP).
One caution, though: the bay with the shipwrecks on the north side (the Cape of Lost Hope) is quite dangerous because Tank, the 85 elite shark, patrols there just below the surface. Even if you can solo him (and many can), fighting off an elite with several hundred K health is the opposite of “avoiding entanglements”.
This general technique is also how I fish pools of Fathom Eels on my hunter (since Skewered Eel is the prime well-fed food of Agility classes like him). And the Sealed Crates in the pools of wreckage have been a huge boon, although I think they were temporarily more frequent because of the Darkmoon Faire event.
And my main’s guild is only about 700 fishes away from the 10,000 fish guild achievement and the recipe for Seafood Magnifique Feast, so I try to help that whenever I can. And this is a good place for that. Fishing from on top of the water, you actually avoid a lot of PvP action.
Indeed. Back in July I was trying to take this vacation photo with the dramatic angle and the dramatic lighting, and just as I snapped the picture this guy jumped up and got in the frame…
Photobombed by a shark. A prime shark-jumping moment. Impressive.
