Came back from vacation and found the guild stuck on Madness of Deathwing. Not sure if this is common, but we had to wipe more than a few times after someone (usually the DK) fell into the water. (She didn’t get picked up by the winds jumping fro platform to platform). But in the end we got him down giving us a full clear of DS! Woot! Now onto Heroic Morchok and more!
I also jumped into LFR and had 2 chances at the Mage-Shoulders that I need, and lost both rolls:( boo!
There are a couple people, who weren’t there last night, in the guild who are planning on getting Madness down and then bailing the game, which is too bad. Hopefully we’ll get some additions to make up for the loss.
That seems to be going around. I’m finding a lot of people who are just burning out way too early on this tier. In my own guild, my rock-solid raid team is going to be switching to a 1-night raid schedule (from 3) because one of our tanks and our warlock are both leaving due to work/school issues and several other team members (me included) have decided that they’re just not excited enough to really push progression. I don’t know what it is–whether normal DS is just too easy (compare it to normal Firelands pre-nerf: night and day) or people are just getting tired of raiding, or what.
Anyway, congrats on Madness and good luck on Morchok! He’s actually quite easy once you get the hang of the little dance everybody has to do to deal with the increased Stomp damaged. We surprised the hell out of ourselves by 3-shotting him on our first night of attempts. I think we would have 1-shotted him except it took one of the tanks (me) a couple of attempts to get the movement down.
I’m not sure Quasi wants to go to this much trouble, but, in case someone else is wondering this, if you set up an account at The Undermine Journal, you can have it email you when items you select are put up for sale. I’ve been woken up by my phone vibrating in the middle of the night, checked the email, went into the mobile auction house app on my phone, bought it, and gone back to sleep without ever turning the lights on or getting out of bed…
However, even without setting up an account, you can check out items you are interested in and check recent sales and see who is routinely selling them and for how much, and try mailing them with an order…
Won’t Auctioneer let you set up a standing ‘Buy’ order for something so that if it hits the market and is in the set price range it automatically buys it? Some legal add-on would do that up to the point that Blizz allowed.
If I wanted to join the SD guild, how would I go about doing it? I didn’t see a specific way to search for guilds under the guild tool.
I got up to around level 40 on a different server, but I just started a new character on Cairne because I would like to see how being in a guild/being more social works. I understand if there’s not a lot to do in one if you’re such a low level though.
Time Stranger, just type ‘/who burning dog’ and if anyone comes up, you can whisper to them. They should be able to help you. If no one comes up, just keep trying. I’ll be online on Monday night (Moobird) as will a few others, so if you don’t reach anyone this weekend, try then. (But I’ll bet you’ll find someone this weekend)
My pet peeve of the day: Asswipes that list 600 individual items of the same type in the auction house. I’m leveling enchanting on my druid, and using lots of hypnotic dust. This guy on my server no shit listed 600 of them for sale one at a time, at a gold & change each. Paging all the way to the end of the listing (well over 800 items), I finally found a few people selling full stacks at 11 gold per. I bought out one guy’s entire stock, and most of the stacks another guy had up as well.
There out to be a way to search for full stacks without having to tediously page through the assholes playing with auctioneer.
Guys, on the right-hand side of my screen, next to the double bars, which contain the consumables, the macros for the Silkas, etc, towards the middle of the screen, there hangs a list of all of my quests in yellow and red. How can I toggle that list off, so that it doesn’t interview with my view?
Okay, never mind, I found it. It’s Quest Helper, and I had a bunch of then added on, (looks like maybe different languages?). So right now, I only have Quest Helper without those letters in parentheses).
Something I haven’t considered until now is that sometimes I forget the correct word to use to make an answer come up in google. In this instance I asked how to make the list “disappear” instead of how to “toggle it off”.
Sorry. I know it makes it more difficult to help me when I can’t think of the right word.
Sometimes when I open one of my sealed crates, it will contain a mug of “Rumsey’s Rum”, which adds to my stamina and “makes you drunk to boot”.
I can’t see how those things can be beneficial, if, when you get drunk the screen goes fuzzy and makes you stagger, and the stamina doesn’t seem to be all that much, guys.
It doesn’t auction well at all, even I bring the price way down, so I just vendor it.
Also, is there any benefit, when I’m fishing in a swarm of fathom eel, and the bobber doesn’t land well within the circle of ripples, to leave it there instead of re-casting? I have noticed that when the bobber lands right on top of the very last outside circle, that I may get a murklesnout OR a fathom eel.
So right now, I cast-recast-recast-recast CIRCLE and leave it for my eel.
The ‘sweet spot’ for pools seems to extend slightly outside the actual pool circle, I’ve found. It’s a lot of trial and error to figure out just how much farther out it can be, but hey, it only costs you 20 seconds of your time to find out!
But if I re-cast, I make sure I get the eel. If I leave it just outside the ring, it’s a crap shoot, and I usually wind up with that murkle thing. I was just wondering what I would get if I didn’ re- cast every time. Junk, probably - right?
The only upcoming perks I’m really interested in are Hasty Hearth, Honorable Mention, and Bountiful Bags. Most of the other perks are going to be utterly useless to me.
Hey my Hordies on Cairne! Were any of your capital cities bugging out with unkillable beasts showing up last night? Stormwind had an invasion of invincible, pacifist spiders. Got a GM to despawn one, but then when I logged off there were two more running around.
I think I got the herp derp LFR group last night because somehow I ended up 4th on the DPS list with my Huntard. Won Kiril though which was freakin’ awesome!
