New Year's Eve Tonight?

Coding? What’s wrong with my coding? :stuck_out_tongue:

 at John. I saw what you did there!

Already called home and talked to the folks. They’re all asleep or passed out by now, I think. Was sure nice being able just to talk for a few minutes. They drink champagne sure, but the drink of choice is called “Sekt”, and lemme tell ya, it sure is good.

Not available (usually) here in the US, though.

Back in a few.

Heh heh heh.

MAn, I wish I could wish y’all happy new year in German!

But Happy New Year anyway!

Love y’all!

Quasi

Happy New Year!

BanSidhe,

Thanks very much for the good wishes! I told D I was getting together with a few friends tonight, and I’m glad you could join us!

To you as well, Mahaloth!

Q

A quiet night at home here. We let our two oldest sons, ages 14 and 11, both stay up for the first time until after midnight. We can hear fireworks in the distance, but now… to bed! Very best wishes for a happy, peaceful 2011 to you all.

Fireworks, eh?

When I was still able to work in the ER, we’d be gearing up for firecracker accidents right about now!

Best wishes to you and your family, Elendil’s Heir, and thanks for checking in!

Q

BanESidhe, sorry.

I am now at the offal level of 3 sheets in the wind, hence the misspelling!

Q

Happy New Years, if you’re all still awake

Only 9:21 here in California; the early, ‘family friendly’ fireworks show down on the waterfront just ended.

There’s one thing I don’t miss about California. The fireworks laws! Up here, we can get mortars.

Gonna try to catch the Vienna Symphony New Year’s Day concert later today.

It’s always a crap shoot because we have 2 PBS stations (8 and 30) in metro Atlanta, and one can’t always find the correct one.

Also we just have basic cable, so it’s 8 or nothing.

I try to never miss it, because the Strauss waltzes are played so beautifully.

If you have never seen this, you’re in for a treat!

Q

Okay, I’m on my way to Azeroth to do some questing.

Good night and thanks to all of you!

California - Happy New Year in advance, and as I did last time, I’ll try to stay awake and check back in closer to YOUR time!

Thanks

Quasi

Well, the reunion with my old friend went very well- better than expected, even! I only had one drink, a margarita, of course, and so no headache or hangover yuckiness tomorrw. 30 more minutes to a new year, and probable gunshots. If you don’t hear back from me, save yourselves.

Dear NBC,

Please play “Auld Lang Syne” as per tradition when the ball drops, not “New York, New York”. Thanks ever so much.

Love,

Alice

45 minutes here to eat all the bad food, drink all the bad stuff, and smoke all the evil stuff before the day comes and I must repent, fast, and abstain.

That’s a favorite New Year’s Day tradition in my house, too.
