Don’t quite know if this is the right place for this thread…

I’m Amy. I graduated from U Chicago 4 years back, and am still living in Chicago with my crazy roommate. She’s insane, but we’re great friends. Working two jobs, and figuring out what else to do with my life.

Began to read Cecil Adams, and really liking him. Hopefully this board will be great.

So glad to be here.

Welcome, amyvjacobs, and we share your hopes that this board will be great!

It’s taking longer than we thought.

Thanks for the welcomes! Here’s a bit more about me.

I’m originally from Boston, and hoped to get into Harvard, but alas, I didn’t get in. :frowning:

Got into U Chicago, though, and have been living here since my freshman year of college (2006).

I still live with my roommate, Valeria. She’s like the polar opposite of me, but we’re still friends.

Welcome! And University of Chicago is supposed to be a wonderful place, so congrats on that.

You’ll like it here. The members are awesome people who are always willing to toss their two cents into the pond when advice as asked for.

The mods really don’t have horns, flared nostrils and red eyes, no matter what everyone says.

And when it isn’t!

If your username is based on your real name I suggest you ask Tubadiva for a change. Then you can post freely and not worry what creeps and/or future employers might see. I can vouch for the people in this thread so far, except maybe Czarcasm, but who knows who’s lurking.

Oh, and welcome! What are your interests? Are you using your major?

I second dropzone’s advice- you may soon prefer a greater degree of anonymity, but that’s entirely up to you.

Welcome. Feel free to double-dip your chips. We’re not picky.
