Newt Gingrich takes his fourth ‘no-adultery pledge’. Newt, head for the Pit.

a.k.a. Caining

Why oh why didn’t I use this as my screen name.:smack:

Yeah, so including marriage vows, I guess this is his 7th pledge not to commit adultery? And he has broken 5 of them (that we know of)?

What a slimeball.

Christ, shut the fuck up already.

Are there seriously women lining up to fuck this guy? How the hell does a dude who looks like that get the opportunity to commit adultery?

Is the takeaway from the Cain collapse and Gingrich rise that the Republican base prefer a white serial adulterer to a black uni-adulterer? Does this mean that the Republican primaries are going to settle the question of whether a Protestant serial adulterer is preferable a monogamous Mormon?

Money and power are aphrodisiacs.

Newt is almost halfway to Mickey Rooney territory But at least you can say he doesn’t just lust in his heart.

I wondered the same thing. I don’t know about Newt but some couples have a “Fidelity pledge” as part of their wedding, in addition to the normal vows. Kind of a belt and suspenders thing I guess.

I really wish you guys would make up your minds. Is it that I get really angry about small things, or is it that I’m always so tepid and never show anger?

Or do you have me mixed up with someone else? I don’t start pit threads, and haven’t for a long time.

Here in Massachusetts, Karl Rove’s group Crossroads GOP is running ads criticizing Elizabeth Warren for being too cozy with Wall Street banks. They don’t care how much of a complete inversion of the truth something is, say it often enough and at least some people start to believe it.

The Republican primary has more looney candidates than a San Francisco mayor’s race. To think that one of them might be our next President makes me as proud to be an American as I am to be a native born San Franciscan. Which is to say, where is Willie Brown, the Democrat Republicans have crossed the aisle to vote for more than once?

An Evangelical preacher from Indianola is quoted in the tomorrow’s Des Moines paper as characterizing Newt as “an empty suit with a broken zipper.” That’s pretty witty for an Evangelical, not a type known for a sense of humor.

Because the glue that holds them together is blatant racism.

That’s why they will vote for any adulterer, any corrupt piece of crap who will blast the US economy to hell, any cocaine sniffing scum bag, any mindless idiot, any mass death criminal that will hold up the Republican ideal of racism and discrimination.

That’s who they are.

I think I need to start an “Ask the 50 year old Korean hair fetishist” thread. . .

nah.

And a .500 batting average would make Newt an all-star baseball player.

This really had me giggling for some reason. That’s all.

Interns are teenagers, not adults. Hence, he can’t be adulterous with an intern.

Well, Gingrich won’t win: the establishment dislikes him (one guy said that bigfoot in a clown suit was more plausible) and we’re already seeing indications of Peak Newt in the polls.

That said: yes. The strategy works because modern conservatives don’t mind being lied to. In fact they like it: they find it reassuring. I mean you have to be pretty deep in the tank to watch a news source like Fox News that repeatedly puts out misinformation.
Just this week: http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/political-animal/2011_12/when_fox_news_tries_to_make_a034063.php

Then again, Fox News doesn’t much like Romney:

Their shoddy reporting is chronicled daily at Media Matters: anybody who voluntarily watches such factually screwed up and unreliable material clearly has issues.

This post has been brushed by The Brush.

Hasn’t he been cheating on his current wife during this campaign already? I haven’t been paying attention, but wasn’t there a woman connected to him earlier this year?

And you thought The Grapist was bad . . .

(See here if you’re wondering whatinell I’m talking about.)
