The worst are typically around 75%, the best 90-95%. For 40 attempts (opportunities equalized natch for the sake of comparison) that’s about 6-8 extra FGs, 18-24 points (plus XPs), which are not insignificant, but not anywhere close to 50.
This year in the regular season, there were just 3 kickers that had 40 or more attempts (40, 43, 48).
Robbie Gould, for instance, was 20-23 during the regular season. Harrison Butker was 25-28. The median number of attempts appears to be about 32 or 33.
There were 10 kickers at 90% or better. And, yes, the worst of the regular kickers were around 75%. The most points scored by a kicker on field goals was 126, by Dustin Hopkins.
4 kickers scored more than 150 points, led by Daniel Carlson, with 163.
