NFL 2021: The Super Bowl

Ladies and gentlemen … Matthew Stafford.

i honestly don’t know why I didn’t bet that. Would have been counter to my other bets, but it was fucking free money.

I was like, “C’mon… get him…” before he threw the ball, and then I said, “Pick him off,” and they did.

I mean it was third down and 14 and basically had the same end result as a punt - not exactly a pivotal mistake.

No, but it’s classic Stafford. Left a potential FG on the field if they just look to move the chains a little.

Edit: Looking at the replay now, Stafford had Jefferson for a first down easy but the dumb ass waved him deep. Totally taking points off the board. This is exactly the kind of thing that he did with the Lions for a decade.

Eh, a long throw picked off in the end zone from obvious punting position otherwise isn’t really much of a turnover to me. Especially when the D does something stupid to get set back another 10 yards.

Taunting penalty, including a non-uniformed player coming off the bench, causes them to lose 10 yards.

First penalty of the game for the Bengals. On a guy not wearing a uniform and waving a towel.

That stadium looks futuristic, like CGI in Bladerunner. Or am I high? You make the call. False Dichotomy for the win.

Leonard Floyd should just sign his paycheck over to Aaron Donald and call it a day.

“What is going to be the greatest halftime show of all time.” BS, the greatest halftime show was and always will be Prince in the rain in Miami.

My exact same thought as I heard the words…

Not even up for debate.

My kids (and The Good Place) have informed me that “ya’ basic” is an scathing insult. This first half is very “basic”. There has been one play (a halfback pass, which was very cool to see) that was outside of the norm of boring, unchallenging football. Defenses are playing to take away the big play and offense are content to throw underneath and hope for missed tackle. I was hoping for more creative playcalling on both sides of the ball, but both teams seem content to play “not lose” football.

But now they have a long halftime to adjust. Should be interesting, especially if a coach decides to take some risks.

Well, I lost a bet on what color shoes Snoop would be wearing. I bet yellow; he wore white with yellow laces. Damn!

Interesting set. Like 60% of the in-stadium fans can’t see most of it.

I have no problem with the genre for this year, but it can’t beat one guy on stage for 12 minutes. The big multiple performer shows have never been very good.

I feel like this might be diagnosable all by itself.

But I was so close! There’s always the second half props to get it back.

Dre and Snoop are absolutely my jam, but there’s something about hip-hop that doesn’t translate for this kind of thing. With a rock band you can zoom in on 4-5 musicians doing their thing. With hip-hop most f it is a guy standing there riffing on a recorded track. Not very cinematic.
