I’m not sure that works, linguistically. There are lots of scores that have never happened before in the NFL; several dozen that are realistically possible.
No No, no, no, no, no. No, we don’t need that fad to end now.
Brady’s great, his team isn’t. I think Dallas will win that one.
And Cooper Rush is BETTER than Dak!

Cooper Rush only got lucky. He’s a good bus driver. But he could only ever put up something like 20 points a game. He eked out 4 wins by the skin of his teeth, a strong defense and running game, each uncomfortably squeaking by. That’s not sustainable; it gets you destroyed in the playoffs.
Come playoff time, the opponents are all Super Bowl contenders and Dallas’ running game and defense always fades down the stretch. As irritating as Dak is to me, he’s the Cowboys’ only hope. You need a QB who can air it out and do 30-40 points a game in crunch time.
Why did the Lions not accept the offsides penalty? Wouldn’t the clock stay stopped if the penalty were accepted?
If they took the first down, they get 3 more plays to run down the clock (assuming they don’t get another 1st down). If they stick with 2nd down and pick up one yard on their next two plays, they get 4 or 5 plays to run the clock.
It was second-and-1 with 2:30 (or whatever the exact number was) left, and Green Bay had used 1 time out. By declining, Detroit has two plays to gain one yard; then it would be first down, a few more seconds off the clock, and Green Bay would have to use another time out.
Playoff picture comes down to the last 75 seconds of the season.
Lions win!!! That was us Lions fans’ Super Bowl, right there.
damn Rams grumble grumble
That trick play with the tossback to the RB after the pass was a thing of beauty.
And now Seattle will travel to SF for a reenactment of “The Tip” game.
At least the Rams collapse this year helps the Lion’s draft pick from them, even if it hurt today.
Time to snap that 1991 streak, I’m rooting for Detroit
…”hir ‘em loooooow / Hit ‘ em hiiiiiigh…”
Game’s well over but what’s up with Quay Walker, first against Buffalo and now here?
He then was shown storming down the tunnel throwing a tantrum like a toddler. Dude really needs to get it together.
More interesting was how the Refs really wanted to swallow the whistle here. On the same play it was a super dirty hit that led to the injury. Not called, weirdly, not even discussed. Then Walker shoves the trainer and out comes a flag. The Refs on the field were going to settle for 15 yards. It wasn’t until the league office called down that they told the crew on the field to eject the guy. I mean how in the fuck do they defend that? If you ever need more evidence that the Refs in Green Bay lose their collective minds, look no further.
I believe that’s the first time a player has been
ejected twice in one season.
ETA: I misunderstood, he’s the only one to be ejected twice this season.
An emotional Walker was seen on on the broadcast screaming as he walked back into the locker room.
On Sunday Night Football, well done.
Green Bay is to refereeing in the NFC what Pittsburgh is to refereeing in the AFC.
Crap, for some reason I thought the Lions were in if they beat the Pack.
I had pretty much given up on the Packers a few weeks ago, and its not like they would have gone far in the post season anyway.
I live in MN, so I guess I could root for the Vikings. I’ll probably just not watch football.

Thank you, Lions! ![]()
What a back to school present! The Arrogant One beaten on prime time on his home field by the perennial door mat of our division! I have a Chicago suburban friend who is actually a Lions fan, and I told him a couple of days ago that, on Sunday night, the Lions were going to have more fans than they’ve had in a long, long time! LOL
On behalf of Chicago, I thank them! It’s too bad they didn’t make the playoffs. They were 8-2 over their last ten games, and I think they are capable of beating anybody in our conference in any given game.
Oh, it brought a warm feeling to my heart, it did.
One of the top 5 plays of the year. Brilliant play call, nobody saw that coming. Lions were super aggressive at the end and it paid off.
