Boo on missing the good drive but I tuned in just now during that huge punt.
Wow.
I think he’s got three shots at the endzone here.
EDIT: Holy shit!
Amazing.
That unsportsmanlike conduct penalty seemed pretty questionable. But, Mayfield made a couple of really nice throws on the drive, and there’s the Rams with the lead.
He knocked the ball out of Mayfield’s hand when the clock was running. That’s an automatic penalty.
Ahh, gotcha. I had the sound turned down; I thought it was for what looked like a hard take-down on Mayfield.
Wow. Good game.
98 yard drive, with no time-outs, in under 2 minutes. Pretty impressive.
Yeah, easy call, similar to kicking the ball so that it takes longer to line up.
Exactly what I came in to say. Yes, that was a major penalty after the sack, but Mayfield made some incredible passes on that drive.
Hard not to root for him on that drive, certainly. Good for him.
I guess we have the answer to that.
Wow that ended up being a much better game than I expected. Glad I stayed up to see it to the end.
It was awful for 3+ quarters. Then it got real good real quick.
Raiders scored on their first 3 possessions of the game, 13 points. They scored 3 the rest of the way. Credit the Rams defense, and, as @DCnDC mentioned, a TERRIBLE interception by Carr at the end of the first half. That was an easy FG and those 3 points look rather large right now.
A stat that they showed at the end of the game: the Raiders have now lost four games this season, in which they had led by 13 or more points at some point.
That will teach me to give up on Baker Mayfield.
This is Baker:
There was a little girl
By Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
There was a little girl,
Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
When she was good,
She was very good indeed,
But when she was bad she was horrid.
The Ravens are listing QB Lamar Jackson as “doubtful” for Sunday’s game, after he didn’t practice all week, due to a knee injury. If he’s unable to go, Tyler Huntley will be the starter.
Along the same line, I read today that the Raiders are the first team to blow four double-digit halftime leads in a season. The stats go back to 1930.
“I’m proud of all my records.”
(-Eli Manning in response to being asked about I think the franchise interception record.)
