Unrelated to bad officiating… Just from a viewing standpoint, I’d love to watch Amazon’s all-22 version, but the graphics displayed live on-screen make it unwatchable, visually. I didn’t think that including ten yards of empty grass behind the QB while not showing the receivers and DBs could be topped.
I hadn’t dug into that stream until seeing your post. It’s only been a handful of plays, but so far I dig it. I don’t really need the circles or the route lines, but I really like seeing the personnel packages and the wider angle. Will have to give this a test drive next week for the full game.
Andy Reid has been the head coach in seven games between the Eagles and the Chiefs, 3 as the coach of the Eagles, and 4 as the coach of the Chiefs.
Reid is 7-0 in those seven games.
My least favourite thing about football right now is the PI penalties on deep balls that are underthrown 5-10 yards where the receiver tries to correct at the last second to draw the flag. I’d love to see them legislate these flags out of the game, but understand it would be really hard to differentiate between these and legit PI.
Also, every time i see the much lauded “back shoulder” sideline throw I wonder if they actually intended it that way, or if it was just a poorly thrown ball that the receiver corrected to save the QB’s ass.
You might want to read this article from nine years ago where Tom Brady talks about the difficulty in making this play work.

Interesting, thank you. The complexity of everything needing to go right was part of the reason i thought it wasn’t actually planned that way. Pretty wild that the best are actually able to execute those throws/catches.
Mmmmm…the Aaron Rodgers back shoulder fade to Jordy Nelson. Takes me back to a simpler time - a better time.
Whenever I think of back shoulder throws I think of that frigid NFC championship game in Green Bay when Eli and Plaxico just lit up Al Harris all game long.
That’s precisely what I’d like to turn off. I find it extremely distracting.
Joe Burrow out for the season.

Charissa Thompson, current host and former sideline reporter at Fox Sports and Amazon TNF, admitted that she sometimes made up the sideline reports if she couldn’t get comment from a coach or player. She clarified today that she didn’t actually lie, she just said what she’s sure the coaches were thinking, which I guess is very different?
My faith in commentary is shaken to the core. All these years I thought stuff like “we have to stop turning the ball over” was brilliant insight. Now I don’t know what to believe in.

Tall, single (now), attractive, and clairvoyant. Much less CTE than the coaches she’s interviewing. I am more interested in her comments than having Andy Reid try to explain clock management or challenge flags.
Joe’s still dating someone… Oh you meant Charissa.
i take it you don’t remember or wasn’t there in the 80s and 90s? When the Patriots made the browns and Lions look good?
Winner of the Eagles-Chiefs game on Monday Night will most likely lock up the No. 1 seed in their respective conference.
Gosh, I’m trying to remember the last time that the Eagles and Chiefs played each other but I’m drawing a blank here.
With the addition of the 17th game, there should be a rematch of the Super Bowl every season.
But if I looked correctly, this is the 3rd season with the 17th game, and it’s the first rematch of the SB teams.
Not at all. Even with the 17th game, there’s only 2 possible divisions in cross-conference play - you play all teams of one division, and one team in one other division - the team that ended the same position as you did in their division. You don’t play against any teams in the other 2 divisions. It’s pure luck that the 17th game this year is NFC East vs AFC West - if the Bengals had gone to the SB instead of the Chiefs, there wouldn’t be a rematch this year.
Yes, that’s true under the current format. No reason why it couldn’t be changed, however.
