NFL 2023: Wildcard Weekend

Scarier than it needed to be.

Brian

Most funnest game I’ve seen since Washington last won the Super Bowl. Except it got a wee bit nervous towards the end there.

I missed the part where it actually got nervous. HAHAHA. Go Pack! F* the Cowboys!

Oh how quickly they forget Gary Hogeboom.

Settling in for LA Rams vs. Detroit Lions. The talking heads are all over the place with their predictions, so I’m anticipating a game that could go either way, and won’t necessarily be a blowout.

Cowboys got utterly smashed by the Packers, and yet it’s not surprising in the least.

Jerry Jones has got to be flummoxed. Nothing he does works. He’s hired and fired numerous coaches by now. Disciplinarian and non-disciplinarian coaches haven’t gotten it done. There’s no excuse for this. The Cowboys continue to be among the NFL leaders in penalties and dumb plays year after year.

If we are looking to demoralize GB, let’s have a remembrance of John Hadl: the savior.

Lions playing like they’ve got something to prove. They do.

Might have a shootout here! Let’s go!

Demoralize Green Bay? Listen, Packers’ HoF quarterbacks either destroy the Cowboys or the 49ers, not both.

Guess where Green Bay goes next weekend. But I’m here for it. I was excited about one week of bonus football, and now I get ANOTHER ONE after that joyous game?

Big surprise bullshit call to kill the drive.,

As far as I’m concerned, the final score was 48-16. Nobody excels at putting garbage points on the board when the game is already unrecoverable like the Cowboys.

Close. Just 2 NFL games have ended 48-32: this one, and Rams over 49ers in 2018.

I was hoping for a Cowboys loss but seeing them get dominated in their own stadium was beautiful. Will McCarthy get fired? Will Belichek be the next Cowboys coach?

I think McCarthy is massively overrated. He repeatedly gets dealt amazing hands and consistently underperforms, and Jerry does not tolerate failure.

Man, as as lifelong Lions fan, i just don’t have the constitution for playoff football.

Got us a game here!

One of the benefits of backing a shitty team is you don’t have to worry about anything in the playoffs you can just hope for good games, and we’ve got one so I’m happy.

My sympathies to anyone who has a dog in this fight.

I don’t, but I’d kind of like to see Detroit win. No real reason, other than it’s been a long time since they’ve come this far.

But yes, we’ve got a game, and it’s a good one!

Been a Nacua vs St. Brown affair so far. Advantage Nacua at the moment, even though they’re down. Seem to have some momentum.

I don’t feel the slightest bit bad about the Lions getting the benefit of that missed pass interference call on 3rd down. They’ve gotten screwed on too many calls lately, they were owed one.

I can’t believe in a world so unjust that the Lions would lose this game. They trade away their franchise quarterback who immediately wins the Superbowl. Then when they finally get to the playoffs, that same quarterback knocks them out immediately? I just can’t believe something so awful could happen.

Throw it to LaPorta!

EDIT: By the way, taking that final timeout after the 2:00 warning was a mistake. Should have taken it at like 2:10.

EDIT 2: Victory formation. That’s a wrap. Go Lions!
