Browns win at the final gun 27-24 on a FG by Schmidt after a 36 yard rumble by Fannin Jr.
A 4th turnover from a Kittle fumble seals this game. Niners lose to the Falcons.
and once again!! Pineiro misses an XP
McCarthy looked pretty good to me today. Managed the game well. Made good decisions. Giants scratch out an OT win.
A critical one, because when the Falcons scored a FG after the second Purdy interception, it gave them a 9 point lead rather than an 8 point lead, making it a 2 score game with less than 2 minutes left.
Cardinals had a killer of a delay of game penalty on 4th and goal earlier. Still Trey McBride is the ultimate TE stud and the Cards can pull this off.
Most of the Cards fans I talk to are pissed as hell about the number of Broncos fans on Larry Fitzgerald’s day. Happily wearing my Fitz jersey today.
Packers might be able to beat the Lions. I dont think they’ll be able to beat the Lions, they’re own mistakes, and the refs.
The Packers are clearly in Kicking Hell for the fourth consecutive season. Trey Smack misses two field goals from under 40 yards (one wide, one blocked), and the Pack loses to Detroit, 20-17.
That’s the worst. Seattle was there after releasing Steven Hauschka until they got their current kicker Jason Meyers. Fans don’t appreciate how important a decent kicker is until you don’t have one.
Yup. The issue is that there are nearly always fewer than 32 NFL-caliber kickers available, and it’s easy to get stuck in a bad cycle.
For the Packers:
- 2022: Mason Crosby was good in his 16th season with the Packers, but he was turning 39, and they allowed him to become a free agent.
- 2023: They drafted Anders Carlson in the 6th round; he struggled all year, and was cut at the end of training camp in '24.
- 2024: Brayden Narveson won the job in training camp, was mediocre, and was cut after six games; the Packers signed Brandon McManus shortly after sexual-assault allegations against him were settled. McManus was great over the rest of the year, and there were hopes that the team had escaped Kicking Hell.
- 2025: McManus was injured and couldn’t replicate '24; Lucas Havrisik filled in for several games and was also unimpressive. McManus was cut during the offseason.
- 2026: Trey Smack was drafted in the 6th round. Thus far, he’s missed five field goals and two extra points.
KC tries to remain one of the 3 unbeaten teams.
Campbell goes for it on 4th and 1 on his own 24 with 5 minutes left in the game. They dont make it, but the Packers miss a gimme FG, so he doesn’t pay for it.
Matt Lafleur forgoes a field goal, instead goes for it 4th and 4 at the Detroit 7 with 4 minutes left in the first half. They dont get it, and Detroit drives the field to the GB 12, but Gibbs fumbles, so they dont get points.
I do like teams being more aggressive, but I do think things have gone too far.
With the Niners loss today, the number of unbeatens is now 2. Vikes won today to improve to 6-0.
KC looks extremely disjointed tonight.
Absolutely. I think most teams were being too conservative for years and analytics backs that up, but the pendulum has swung too much.
Seattle chewing up the clock, and now chewing up KC’s time outs, to ice the game.
ETA: Game over with a rushing TD.
KC looked terrible tonight.
Chiefs getting their ass kicked tonight.
Seattle D is great, and KC couldn’t stop Seattle on 3rd and long.
There is one undefeated team after 7 weeks.
I love K9. I am genuinely proud of how great he is doing and I hope by the end of the season he has multiple records under his belt. He deserves the chance to rest for a game.
Also congratulations to Kelce for going up the records on career receptions; he is in great company there.
ETA: Kelce surpassed Gonzalez on yards, holy crap.

I cannot really sit through a whole game, but I happened to be watching KC-SEA when that fumble happened. That was beautiful. I want to invent a football-like sport where every play is just a crowd of guys fighting over a fumble.
Uh…
