NFL Conference Championship games thread

Let’s not give Lewis a dream superbowl sendoff.

Are you going to start “The 1st Annual Steelers March to 8-8 Thread” thread in August?

8-8? A bit optimistic isn’t it?

Yeah, I feel bad for the players, but the fans have not been the greatest. They’ve been burned by a decade and a half of great Braves baseball and only one WS, and Matty Ice is the Peyton Manning of the NFC. Great regular season, crappy playoffs.
I really was pulling for Ryan and the Falcons since they had to blow up their team and start over with the Vick situation. I like a lot of the Falcon players. But sometimes it never happens in the postseason.

Atlanta fans are definitely in the running for the worst fans in the NFL. Not sure who’d take the cake. Might be an interesting thread.

Miami? Oakland?

I’ve got no reason to like the guy but you have to admit, he knows how to coach. All he does is win with whatever talent he’s given.

Definitely not Oakland, unless your definition involves the felon rate or something. They’ve had a decade of shit and they’re still pretty passionate.

Lewis squared and set, and Hernandez ran into him, yet it’s a penalty?

Nope, it’ll be the usual, but I’m going to dedicate it to you. It will be forever attached to you. Great jorb, stalker.

Los Angeles.

Yes. I have Oakland fan relatives. They are loyal to a fault. Their fanbase’s only problem is pocketbook volume.

And a predilection for dressing up like hyper-made up extras in Road Warrior, doing violence, and not understanding football.

Yellow card for Brady for sliding with his foot up like that.

Another questionable clock management move there. If Brady had used the time out as soon as the play was over, he would have gotten one, perhaps two shots at the end zone (barring a sack). Instead the Pats used all but 4 seconds trying to get to the line of scrimmage to spike the ball and were forced to settle for a field goal.

Heh awesome trick play, I bet everybody was expecting Brady to quarterback sneak.

I can’t understand why he didn’t take a knee. He only had 40 seconds left, and only two timeouts.

Signed,
John Fox

He just gave the green light to tee off on his ass.

How many times in a row can they run Rice up the middle on first down for Christs sake?

The only limit is the number of first downs they have, apparently.
