I’m still hoping Molk makes it to the Lions. I think they have to draft him if he is 1. Because he’s good, 2. Anything on OL is good, 3. He’s local.
I do also like how on ESPN’s draft track Kicker isn’t a real position, they are just “…”
They have had an excellent draft, one of if not the best in terms of value. It will be a HUGE disappointment if they don’t improve over last season. Their defensive line depth is ridiculous, as is their depth at CB. Going to be a lot of competition at training camp this season, as Marvin Lewis says in every press conference “And that’s a good thing”.

As good as any for a late-round flyer, but I’d be surprised if he ever does anything in the NFL. Talent simply isn’t enough.
Cam Johnson, nice pickup. He’s the top guy left on my board, with a 3rd Round grade, but I had him crossed off because he doesn’t really fit the 3-4 defense. Who the hell cares in the 7th? He can still play DE, and he started off in college as an OLB. He’ll be a better rush tweener than Fleming.

I was out for a bit but I return to see that Bears took another midget CB who no one has ever heard of. I’m just going to go ahead and assume that Emery decided to shove off for the weekend after Friday, maybe heading to a lake house up in Geneva, and let Lovie take the reigns today.
Luke Nix is still undrafted as is Chase Minnifield. Really hope the Bears are talking to these guys about coming in to compete as UDFAs. Especially Nix.

Well, Nix and Minnifield are out there. The Bears have said over and over that they are happy with their OL and it was proven in the draft to be true. That said, if they aren’t aggressive about bringing in UDFAs at the position to compete they are idiots. I have Nix at the top of my list, but Tice had better get on the phone with him and a few other bodies on the inside.

Now the undrafted free agents get signed. Chris Polk, Aaron Henry, and others are some of the nice names out there that could really make an impact. Remember, Arian Foster, Tony Romo, and Wes Welker were all undrafted.
With roster size increasing to 90, a fair number of undrafted guys are going to get a look see this offseason. I always like to see what the Packers do with theirs, like getting Sam Shields, who had a nice year before backsliding last year.
ETA: The Packers signed one of my guys. Dale Moss, a complete project at WR, has reportedly signed with the Packers.
ETA: The Lions got Kellen Moore. Raiders got Aaron Henry. Eagles got Cliff Harris. No word on Polk yet.
Great draft by the Packers. Trading up to get Casey Hayward was fantastic. I also like Nick perry and Jerel Worthy. I really think the only reach guy is McMillan out of Maine. I really like the Manning and Datko picks, tons of upside on those guys, IMO. And BJ Coleman is gonna be a solid backup I think.
Chris Owusu signs with the 49ers as free agent. He’s another burner. I see deep throws this year from the 49ers.
The Eagles signed Chris Polk as an UDFA. I’m pretty sure they followed my posts for their picks this year. Could not be happier with this draft. What a blast.
Not on that level, but Ryan Grant has had a nice career for an UDFA.
Burfict signed with the Bengals. You can’t make this stuff up.
Still no word on my guy Luke Nix.
The Bears have only announced 4 guys, all small school players. James Brown from Troy was one of the highest rated OLs out there so I’m happy with that pickup. Ronnie Cameron could turn out to be a gem at the DT spot. High character guy with excellent measurables who played against really weak competition. Still hoping for more here, I’m going to be watching for Trulon Henry and Nix especially.
I see that Nix went to Oakland. Shit. Feeling pretty concerned that the Bears only got 4 guys compared to some teams getting as many as 20 already. Hopefully this is just because the Bears aren’t as chatty as some teams.
Another of my guys Chase Minnifield ended up in Washington. Makes sense for a Virginia guy.
