Chicago Bears running back Anthony Thomas was deactivated for last night’s game against the Vikings in order to rest his strained hamstring and turf toe. James Allen did a very good job of filling in, rushing for 107 yards in their victory. After the game, Bears head coach stoked the embers of a running back controversy, telling the Chicago Tribune: “We like our tandem. We don’t want to be a single-back running team. I believe James Allen is pretty good. Whoever is hot…will get more carries.” Thomas, however, said that he’ll be ready to go next week against the Lions, telling the Chicago Sun Times after the game: “I feel a lot better. The week off is going to really help me a lot.”

We certainly hope this doesn’t degenerate into the backfield-by-committee the Bears were employing earlier in the season. Perhaps Jauron was just giving Allen a pat on the back for a job well done. One thing’s for sure, Allen probably earned himself a million bucks in free agency at the end of the season after showing very little earlier in the year.

Sorry about the Culpepper prediction, who knew? Bad week for me in fantasy ball as I not only lost, but I had twice the points needed to defeat my opponent sitting on my BENCH!!!

Ugh, Straight up I’m 10-4 going into Monday night. 9-3-2 against the spread. All in all, a pretty good week, but I only went 2-3 in my OMNI picks due to a push, and those Seattle and New Orleans mishaps.

Oh, and how bout Da Bears? Gazoo, I hope you’ve learned your lesson, even though you did hedge by picking the Bears to cover.

I thought Urlacher was going to beat my Fantasy team single handed. I wish he played for the Bucs.

As for the Bears v Detroit, I have a nagging feeling that the Lions one win this year will come against the Bears. Just the way the season has been going, nothing against the Bears.

Poor Lions. Just when they were ready to play their best game of the season on Thanksgiving Day, they ran into the NFL’s worst referee in the business, Jeff Triplette. You remember this guy. He’s the one who blinded Orlando Brown in one eye. Well, he and his crew really did a number on the Lions, and if you want to know the name of the replay official who didn’t feel that the non-TD call at the end was worthy of review, it’s Rex Stuart. I’ll bet that he’d like to hear from you.
