Well, once again, I need help with my suicide pool. I’m thinking San Diego would be a good pick this week. I mean they can’t lose three straight right? Right? Against KC at home. It should be a lock.
Or am I just letting home town biases cloud my judgment?
If you’ve already used Dallas, then yeah, you should be safe with San D. If you haven’t used Dallas, then I’d burn them now while they’re hot, but before they start tanking in a couple of weeks.
Actually, the only rule in my pool is that you can’t pick the same team two weeks in a row. Are there pools where you actually have to pick a different team every single time? I’d never survive that.
Yep. It’s too late to get in, but that’s what we’re running here on the SDMB.
It’s the Texans going to Atlanta this week. I’m not sure Houston is as good as their 2-1 record indicates, but Atlanta is really really bad. Wouldn’t be a bad time to take Houston if you’re trying to get some middle-to-bad picks out of the way early.
Yep, pretty much. This is my first year as a participant, but my stepmother has been in it for awhile. Two years ago, quite a few people survived the regular season so they had to extend it into the playoffs. Last year I think they got down to a handful by the 12th or 13th week and just agreed to divide the money. You figure any week where NE or Indy doesn’t win in going to knock out a huge chunk of participants.
I like your rules better though. There’s actually some strategy involved. It sounds like I’m in the moron pool, which is pretty much appropriate. I guess it would be easy money to you guys!
As far as I know, we have no money on the line. As I said, it’s too late for you to get in (I believe, but you could try) but we’d be happy to have you next season.
Even though we’re well into the season, you can still hook up with Yahoo Survival Football. That link will take you directly to the signup for their public league, and you can start any week.
