I forgot what it was like to be nervous for a game.
Really nice win for the Bears, they need to sort out those redzone issues still, but the 3rd down numbers were excellent as was the defense and special teams, typical Bears result. Want to see more of a pass rush and less sloppy play on the O line, but the Bears are undefeated in the division with a win over all 3 teams.
ETA: Holy crap, what a wild end for the Jags!
Bears are a good but not great team.
Hester is the single scariest thing about them.
Fucking Robiskie can’t do anything right.
Hearing people talk the last week you’d have thought the Bears were a terrible, awful team. I think some power rankings had them at 25. I love 2 things in life, beating the Packers and beating Brett Favre.
Lions missed a 2 point conversion and will lose 14 to 12. Bills will bust their perfect season .
Rushing 3 hasn’t worked all game dipshits.
Glad the Bills won. They are a pretty solid team and they will learn that they are better off without the 1st overall pick. Carolina is going to be in a real pickle deciding what to do with their pick after drafting Claussen last year.
Wish we got to see the end of the Jets-Browns game instead of the start of Broncos-Chiefs.
Cotchery makes a beautiful diving catch for 9 yards on 3rd & 8 despite injuring himself — and hopping around on one foot — earlier in the play.
ETA: The Jets have a good group of receivers; their passing game should be better than it is, though I suppose Sanchez is in an unusual position as a really young and inexperienced QB. He could still turn it around.
Don’t forget the noodle arm and scattershot delivery. His upside is probably Pennington, remember how that worked out?
Cardinals 7 Seattle 0. Arizona looked good with a 50 yard kickoff return and a nice pass to Larry Fitzgerald.
**Giants **and Boys have exchanged punts so far.
I have never seen so many botched sacks in my life.
I don’t see that comparison; Sanchez’s arm strength is fine (at least average, I think). The problem (one of them) is that he’s not very accurate right now (accuracy being Chad Pennington’s strong suit, of course). And besides, Pennington was a very effective QB when healthy.
I’m watching the Giants, why did the Browns’ coach call a time out with 40 seconds?
That’s my question. Unless they had already run the play clock all the way down, then called the timeout, it seems like they were trying to give the Jets time to score.
Play clock was at zero; they were just trying to burn as much time as possible. Of course, they could have assured themselves a tie if they wanted it (had 1st & 10 on their own 3 with ~1:35 to go, Jets w/ only 1 timeout), but instead they threw long on 1st down – admirably aggressive, but stupid nonetheless.
Stupid it was. Oh well.
Thanks VarlosZ.
I wouldn’t call it stupid. It seems to me the Browns have been winning their games by playing with the attitude that they’re the underdog and they’re going to take chances. Why concede a tie? May as well go for it all, you’re 3-5, 3-5-1 isn’t much better.
Niners need to name Troy Smith their QB of the future and never look back.
