NFL Week 11

Man. Last year I didnt mind the Browns beating my team as it was “for” Jim Donovan, the beloved local sports announcer.
This year I won’t mind either as its for Bernie Kozar, waiting for a liver.
Is Lamar okay?

Seahawks try to kick a 61 yard FG with 1 second left but miss and lose by 2.

As crappy as Darnold was with interceptions, I’m surprised they even got it that close. I’ll take a last second close loss in LA against the Rams. They’ll get a chance for revenge later in Seattle.

Chiefs fall to 5-5.

So far, two of my three “games to watch” came down to a field goal attempt on the last play. I’d prefer if the Lions don’t keep it that close.

I am surprised. The Ravens won. Thankfully. Myles is still one of the Best.

Miles Garrett is now the first player in NFL history to have 12+ sacks in 6 consecutive seasons.

Looks like I was right about the Chiefs, re it’s time to reconstruct that roster. The original Mahomes run is over.

What is the record for the most failed 4th-down conversions in one game? Gotta think the Lions are now in the running…2 field goals and they’re only down by one now.

Oh for five.

Not nearly as ugly as last week, but Eagles win again in uninspiring prime time.

I disagree. At one point, Goff had a defender in his face for every single pass. Over and over. It was like Detroit only had 3 offensive linemen. Snap, take a step, oh crap there’s a guy in front of me and throw it away, or it gets batted down. That was an inspiring level of defense to me.

Remember all those improbable wins the Chiefs had last season? I think this season is karma biting them in the ass.

Rams’ punter Ethan Evans delivered the “punt of the century”: 51 yards & out of bounds at the 1-inch line.

Here’s the Isaac Punts YouTube channel with the story. Skip to 1:20 for the actual play.

If I heard “Patrick Mahomes has gone the AFC championship game every year since he’s been the starting QB” one more time I was going to lose it. At least they’re no longer favorites to win the SB on the gambling sites.

That’s what I kept saying all last year, only to get a ton of pushback on this forum: “PM knows how to win”, “They are clutch”, etc. etc. That all came home to roost when the Eagles completely dominated their collective ass in the SB, meaning this season shouldn’t have surprised anybody.

Chiefs fan here. But I’m also a realist.

Possibly. Mahomes appears to have lost his accuracy on the deep ball, plus his offensive line is obviously suspect. The interception in the red zone yesterday was completely inexcusable, as were all the incredibly stupid penalties.

Just what my son and I said to each other last night.

Tony Romo has a man crush on Mahomes. Even we Chiefs fans are tired of Romo continually sucking up (and making excuses) for him.

Yep, the Eagles defense completely exposed the weaknesses in the Chiefs offense. And while KC’s defense is pretty good, the offense still needs to score touchdowns.

I will always be pissed about the 2020 draft. KC had the last pick in the first round and chose Clyde Edwards-Helaire, running back from LSU. Nine picks later, the Colts selected Jonathan Taylor, a name you might recognize.

Michael Penix, jr may be done for the season due to his knee injury.

Seen on interweb: “Shedeur Sanders is putting up numbers that would make JJ McCarthy cringe.”

I was with friends watching the early afternoon games at a sports bar yesterday and much bitching at and about McCarthy ensued (mostly Ravens people but money was at stake).

I was very impressed with the way the Eagles’ defense shut down the Lions’ offense and held them to 3 field goals. That offense hung 52 points on us and has looked super potent against several opponents.

We have the Steelers this coming weekend and could conceivably be 8-3, but then run a gauntlet with games on the road against the Eagles Lions and Packers as well as the Packers at home.

For the record: the Lions got an early TD but missed the XP. Of course, the Lions arguably SHOULD have had 3 field goals, maybe 4…
