Yeah, but my point was Mariota started over 50 games.
Even if Jones fizzles out like Mariota, he’ll start 50 games. He’s clearly not incompetent like a Jamarcus Russell or Ryan Leaf.

I may not be a smart man, but I know what getting blown out is.
You missed my point entirely. Mariota didn’t fizzle out. He excelled in his second year. Will Jones? We’ll see.
It was a classic example of a resistible force meeting a moveable object.
Battle of the Ages… Feather vs Ping-Pong Ball… WHICH WILL PREVAIL IN THIS EPIC CONTEST?!
I believe I did miss your point entirely.
Jones is on pace this year to have a better year than Mariota’s second year, though, which is why I was confused. In the past 4 games, Jones has thrown 11 TDs and only 1 pick. He’s a fumble machine, of course, but hopefully that’s coachable, or maybe the OL learns how to block. I was going to say “pass block” but it’s not like Barkley is doing anything great this year.
Yes, “pass block” would be redundant.
The game ball for the Pats / Cowboys game should go to the weather.
I thought this recent story was pretty cool:
Seattle Seahawks’ Tyler Lockett asked San Francisco 49ers for help after brutal shin injury
Apparently there’s a device called “Game Ready” that helps with compression therapy. When he went to the hospital following the game against the 49ers, the hospital didn’t have that machinery to treat his leg. His agent reached out to the 49ers to ask if they had one and if it could be used to treat his injury. Within a couple of hours it was delivered to the hospital and he was able to use it for his treatment.
It’s cool when people treat others as human beings and not just as opponents, and player health comes before competition.
The Rams are getting ReAMed at halftime. I absolutely LOVE it.
Just so you know, reading your colored text for team names is unnecessarily difficult.

“Turn it down!! That’s not music!”
45-6, I have a feeling Goff Magic is going to turn this around.
Day-ammmmm - the Ravens absolutely deSTROYed the defending N.F.C. champions tonight, handing them their worst home loss (in L.A.) ever! Good news for the Seahawks (and the Vikings)!
You guys are no fun. . .
Dude! Using Browns colorations within a reply regarding the Ravens is cold, dude!
Well that was quite a wake up call for the Packers. All the flaws that have been there all year (inability to stop the run, aggressive defense giving up big plays, and inability of the offensive line to win one on one) were put on display for all to see. The Niners defense, especially that front 4, is astoundingly good, and Garoppolo does just enough to win. They are the best team in the NFC right now. Kudos to them.
Watching Lamar Jackson is fun. I do, and likely will always, worry about him getting injured, but he’s like a Michael Vick who actually studies the game AND can throw the ball. I fear Baltimore is like the Rams from last year or the Eagles from 2017 (teams that were great on offense until defenses got tape and learned how to adjust), but, for now, it’s great fun to watch.
I remain confused as to both Wentz and Prescott. They both looked awful this past Sunday, but it’s one game and there are plenty of excuses (no WR’s for Wentz and crappy weather for Dak). It will be interesting to see what happens now that Wentz has a few creampuffs and Dak has two tough games in a row.
I didn’t get a chance to watch live, but it seems I was right to question Oakland’s playoff status. They got their asses handed to them. By the Jets. That will happen on occasion in the NFL, but I’m definitely not on board with the Raiders.
Those are NOT Browns colors. Why on EARTH would I use Browns’ colors with the word “Ravens”? BTW - how on EARTH did the Ravens ever lose to the Clowns? I betchya they don’t lose the rematch!
Nor am I. I was actually a Raiders fan before the Seahawks existed. We’re talkin’ “Soul Patrol” era-Raiders. But the Raiders haven’t given me a reason to believe in them for nearly two decades, now.
Anyone for a “re-match” between S.F. and BAL in the S.B.?
