I think Nick Foles can capably pilot that offense to a playoff win, especially once he gets starter reps.
I picked the wrong week to bet against the Cowboys and Broncos.
Also, bummer about Wentz. Reminds me of the 2014 Cardinals losing Palmer late in the season.
What the heck happened at the end of the Seattle-Jacksonville game? That was ugly and there will be some serious fallout.
Oof, official announcement that Wentz has a torn ACL.
In December no less… I wonder if that means he’ll miss the majority (or all) of next season as well? Tough break.
Cripes, the Browns very nearly blew their perfect season. :wipes forehead:

I don’t know about “free for all.” Technically, the rule says that within 5 yards the defensive player can chuck an eligible receiver. Not exactly sure how to define a chuck in that case.
The whiny team of eight-year-old girls from Seattle did what they always do when they lose. Pathetic. And their fans still try to excuse the repeated temper tantrums. One guy in my office tried to tell me the Jags center started it.
Well, if “chuck” means “dance a waltz where the defender is lead”, maybe it’s ok. ![]()
Presumably, the center for the Jags intentionally put his legs in the way of the Seahawk lineman. Because, you know, reasons…
Pete Carroll will always coach jerks, no matter where he coaches.
As for my Packers, well, that was almost a nightmare. Thanks to the Browns for Brownsing!
No excuse for their behavior but it’s pretty asinine to say they “always do that when they lose”. Most of the time they’re professionals about losing (this is their 5th loss this year and first time that they had a discipline breakdown).
The only other time I remember them going off like that was at the end of SB 49 and you can’t really blame them, that’s probably the most painful loss in NFL history.
The whiny 8-year-olds were the Jag fans who were throwing stuff all throughout the game and especially on Jefferson there at the end. I also hated it when Seattle fans threw popcorn on an injured Navarro Bowman being carted off in the 2013 NFC Championship game (though that was just a few idiots and one incident, not happening all game). You really make all fans look like trash with that behavior.
Like leg whipping during the plays? Otherwise, I don’t see how a lineman facing another lineman can get his legs in the way.
Woosh.
The Seattle lineman dove at the Jag’s center’s legs in an attempt to get at the ball on a kneel down play. It’s a dangerous play on a defenseless player since the center can’t really defend himself during the snap.
See what I mean? There are a great many Seahawks fans that would actually believe all three of these asinine things are true.
I just read there will be no suspensions from that JAX/SEA game. I’m surprised, I thought there would (and should) be 1 game suspensions for one or two players. Even as a Hawks fan. Probably Richardson and Bennet.
Fines are almost guaranteed though. There needs to be something, I don’t care if there was trash talk, the game’s over so just end it with dignity.
4 Jaguar fans banned for life for throwing stuff throughout the game.
It’s implied that those are in addition to the ones who threw stuff at Jefferson.
Classy.
And tonight’s game ends an eventful Football weekend. Pats got outplayed.
No third downs for New England. NONE!
Someone else in the AFC is going to the SB this year, don’t know who.
I don’t know if it’s right to read too much into the Gronk-less Patriots losing a road game, but they sure didn’t look great. The top of the league is a good mix this year, with 10 or 12 teams who you could see putting a run together, but no real juggernauts.
Eagles, Rams, Vikings, Saints, Panthers, Seahawks, Falcons, Packers
Patriots, Steelers, Jags, Ravens (?), Chiefs (?), Chargers (?)
I keep not wanting to believe in the Chargers, but they’re 7-2 in their last 9, and the two losses are on the road to NE and JAX.
Aha, OK. I saw the recaps that included this play so I knew what was happening. I thought that Bennett said something like that after the game.
Well Packer fans…you’ve got your wish! Aaron Rodgers has been cleared to play and will start against Carolina on Sunday. Wow!
