NFL WEEK 16 Tons, what do you get.

Owen Ine cursed him in Washington.

They do flex scheduling on week 17 so games with direct impact on each other play at the same time. (Which is why the Eagles and Cowboys games are on at the same time). However there has to be a limit. It looks like every AFC game has some impact on the playoffs:

They aren’t going to move them all to the same time because Houston could possibly get a 3rd seed instead of a 4th seed.

Wah! The poor Steelers.

They’d be in a much better position if they’d managed to beat the Jets last week. The Jets, who couldn’t even beat the goddamn Bungles! We might end up with an 8-8 team in the playoffs, and you’ll have to excuse me if I can’t work up too much angst over which current 8-7 team gets a bit of help from the schedule in Week 17.

Not to mention that the Steelers themselves, no mattter what the game time, get the benefit of playing against a team that has absolutely no need to win the game, that is sitting its (probable) MVP quarterback and sending out a guy who hasn’t started an NFL game since 2016, and is also resting at least four of its other key starters.

Cowboys will be watching multiple scores too; need to beat Redskins and have the Giants beat the Eagles. Easier said than done considering that New York is 4-19 against Philadelphia in its last twenty-three meetings.

I predict the Redskins will win, dropping them out of the 2nd overall pick and giving Chase Young to the Giants, because that is the worst possible outcome for them.

You misspelled Baltimore ravens.

As best I can tell, the only current 49er that has registered a tackle on Marshawn Lynch is safety Jaquiski Tartt, who as a rookie was involved in four tackles in an October 2015 home loss to the Seahawks. It was Lynch’s last game against the 49ers, who then still featured a lineup that included Colin Kaepernick, Vernon Davis, and Navarro Bowman (and Reggie Bush!).

Fellow safety Jimmie Ward and defensive lineman Arik Armstead also played in that game, but are not credited with any tackles of Lynch. Dee Ford (who will miss the upcoming game anyway) played against Lynch just once in four opportunities in their time together in the AFC West, but Lynch was limited to two carries on ten snaps, and Ford didn’t get in on either stop.

I don’t think it really matters. It’s not like there’s a secret formula to easily tackling Marshawn Lynch. I was just curious, after a huge roster turnover, who on our defense has experience with a guy famously hard to bring down.

After falling down a snap count and play-by-play rabbit hole, I snipped this gif of Tartt tripping up Lynch in the backfield from a highlight reel.

That Bengals game was really inexplicable. After starting 1-7, the Jets finished the season 6-2, and one of those two losses was to the winless Bengals. Any given Sunday indeed.
