NFL Week 2

Lions look good early. Watch this space for changes.

I was already very impressed with your corners. I forgot about Maulauga, that does sound like a good group. Jones must be playing weak side, he’s smaller but fast if I remember correctly. Thanks for the kind words, division rivals or not I like hearing from you and SenorBeef. Having strong division rivalries makes our teams better and the games more fun. I only root against your team twice a year not including playoffs.

Impressive start for the Cards, but they’re lucky. Too many dropped balls.

My “Detroit’s opponent” approach to survival pools may not be as foolproof as I thought.

Still, lots of time for them to choke.

14-14 Pack vs Bengals…Maulauga with a crushing sack of Rodgers…forcing a fumble…lucky they recovered…

I went with Detroit’s opponent because I figured it was a good time to pick Minnesota before Favre goes down with some injury… and, well, it’s Detroit.

Chad OchoCinco just scored with a nice catch. Tried to do a Lambeau Leap, first he got blocked by the photographers and then went up into a small group of Bengals fans. Loved the Packers fan who leaned into the frame, flipped the bird to the camera and mouthed ‘Fuck You’

And then the network replayed that scene as they went to commercial after the extra point!

LOL, the network just said, “We can’t show you what just happened during the Bengals/Packers game.” This is the Fox telecast of the Cards/Jags.

Fox with standards?

How long will the Panthers stick with Delhomme? No interceptions this week, but Carolina losing badly.

Some facts about me:

  1. I was a backup right tackle in high school.

  2. I am currently out of work.

  3. I am planning to send a resume to the Packers.

tips hat to FoieGras

Drew Brees is having an off-day. Only 3 TD passes? His fantasy owners must be pissed.

What a hell of a game between the Titans and the Texans. Back and forth, back and forth - as well as a bench leaving brawl!!! Fun stuff!

Go Texans!

Who the hell was that turnstile? I wonder if Packer fans will vandalize his yard.

They might need you!

I don’t gloat, I move on…Steelers, you’re next emmerr effers!

My only plan in representing an unpopular team is that yes, we can play. We are not the Bungles, assholes. Take us lightly and be beaten.

I had to follow the game on nfl.com’s craptacular Gamecast, but I don’t think the Pack took you guys lightly. Maybe it looked different live. I think the Packers have to figure out their pass blocking, pronto. I also think this game would have been a lot more lopsided if Favre was still there; A-Rod at least knows how to take a sack :frowning:

Favre is 2-0.

For the second week in a row, the Vikings had a sub-par first half against a bad team, but put it in cruise control after half-time. Favre had a solid game with two TDs and still has not thrown an INT for the season. AD had a fairly pedestrian game (for him) with just 92 rushing yards (though he also had 14 reciving yards), but he still averaged 6 yards per carry and had one trademark homerun scamper for 27.

The Vikings really need to work on their pass protection. Number 4 is getting put on his back too much, and it’s to his credit that he hasn’t coughed it up yet.

It wasn’t such a comfortable first half, but at the end of the day, the Vikings are still undefeated and alone atop the Norris.

Props are due to Brett Favre for breaking Jim Marshall’s consecutive starts streak (I know Jeff Feagles has more, but he’s a punter so he doesn’t count). I think Favre’s streak is more impressive and more remarkable than Cal Ripken’s.

Next week we’ve got the Niners, and Frank Gore is scaring the hell out of me today.

Also – ha ha, Packers lost.

The Packers also get to play the Browns and the Lions this year.

Me too. Favre looks good as a game manager rather than a gunslinger from what I’ve seen so far. If the Vikings’ secondary can hold up they could do some real damage this year.

Actually, Delhomme had a darn good game today. He bounced back from last week very nicely.

Damn near gave this Falcons fan a heart attack.
