NFL Week 2

Looks like Cutler showed me up this week…

I cannot listen to Tony Dungy on the NBC pre-game show without thinking of Cleveland from Family Guy.

My Bills somehow managed to look good while simultaneously looking kinda crappy. I didn’t get to see all of the game, but at one point shortly after the end of the first quarter, we were winning by over 2 touchdowns while our time of possession was a little over 3 minutes. TO got his first TD (I missed that too) and it seems like we had quite a few big plays and not much else. But still, a W is a W.

They got to play the Bengals too. Didn’t help.

Would suicide be an overreaction?

I get so excited by the time training camp rolls around and I’m so psyched for football and then it lasts 2 weeks before the season is over for my team.

I tried to tell you guys that the Bengalis were for real.

Anyway, since my prediction for the Steelers has also come true […!], I am also going to predict another Steeler meltdown at PBS next Sunday…

We’re going to kick the stupid Vikings **s. Forewarning and all.

The Ravens looked pretty good. A close win but a win nonetheless, and Flacco is looking pretty poised in the pocket.

I think I heard the stat correcty: Bolts had the ball on the 5 or closer 4 times and walked away with the FG.

Now that B’more has started to bring some offense to the table, they’re a real contender.

And the Ravens stand alone at 2-0 in the AFCN. It’s going to be a tough season, but it should be a fun ride.

Omni, I’m holding you personally responsible for John St. Clair. What the fuck is that? Couldn’t you have told someone or something?

I think I know the feeling.

I’m very happy with the 9ers’ play so far this season. I think they’re a team that will scare a lot of people moving forward, with the defense playing as good as they are.

(Say hello to the NFC West champions, everybody.)

Hi-larious!!!

Bad call on the field is about to cost the G-Men a TD.

I thought they already lost?

Ohhhh, the Giants, right…

…sorry…

And they scored the TD anyway. But it would have been nice to see Romo throw 2 the other way in one half.

Every time Dallas and/or the Steelers lose, an angel gets it’s wings.

Fucking angels.

Well, that’s why the stories of Heaven and Hell were created, to represent the conflict that exists when the Cowboys and Steelers actually play one another. The heavenly outcome is still undecided, though, and nobody mortal is exactly sure which side the big players behind the scenes are really on, but one thing is for sure…the goddess of strippers is happy either way…

Ah, what a wonderful day this has been. Would it be poor form to stop into the Steelers thread?

Also, is there a dirtier team in the NFL than the Steelers right now? There should be at least 3 fines levied from the Bears game this week against them yet only 1 penalty called.

I’m admittedly biased but the only dirty hit I noticed was Harrison’s late hit on Cutler which deserved a penalty and might get a fine but wasn’t all that bad. Carter’s hits on Olsen were clean.

Right now? Shoot, partner, where have you been? Ever heard of Hines Ward? The NFL even changed their rules after his cheap shot artistry landed promising rookie Keith Rivers on the IR last year with a broken jaw!

And now Rivers is back…and he’s pissed!
