Aside from the showboating fuck up, this has been one of the most enjoyable NFL games I’ve watched in a long time, I love to see the run game
Lot’s of late flags in the Bills-Broncos game. Lots of flags period.
It’s been good, but a lot of penalties (on the Bears, natch) and too many unforced errors. Left at least 7 points on the field. Love the style though. If the Bears had the passing game to complement it, they’d be scary.
Penalties and injuries are looking like the hallmark of this Bears squad for the 3rd year in a row.
3 FGs by Haushka, shortest one of 49yds. I wonder if Seattle wish that maybe they had kept him.
Just looking around at the scores. Up is left! Down is clockwise! WTF?
Blades of grass… and, we’re fucked again. Thanks NFL.
That TD run by Cohen was a thing of beauty.
…There beyond the glass is a real blade of grass, be careful as you pass…
The Bills didn’t play a great game but the Broncos weren’t playing a good game.
And all is right in the world. Whew.
It says a lot about the Patriots, that my local broadcast switched over to their game in the final three minutes and they were down by five points - but I still expected that they would win. And they did.
The Saints finally put a good game together! Yay!
Bears win! Wow, what a game. Naturally, I didn’t TiVo it.
Sherman will be ejected. Unfairly IMO. Mariota had only one foot out of bounds.
ETA: Offseting but still, the quarterback is safe with one step out of bounds?
I’m not watching the game, but i am keeping one eye on my fantasy team.
Aaron Rodgers has been sacked five times, in the first half! WTF is going on?
If the Green Bay O-line comprised of a sheet of damp tissue paper held up by thin pieces of balsa wood?
Seahawks just cannot catch the ball today
Got Sunday Ticket for the first time (piggy-backing off my parents’ subscription) and am watching the Red Zone channel on my iPad. This is a solid game watching experience.
Pretty much. I think that they’re currently missing three starters on the offensive line.
Another lousy first half then a good second half by the Packers.
Kick on 2nd and goal? I guess it was close enough not to try to run it closer.
Brian
Well, running another play gains you pretty much nothing.
The field goal wins the game, and it’s at least a 95% play from that distance. Gaining a few more yards wouldn’t materially increase the odds of a successful FG, but would have a non-zero chance of a turnover (and the defense would be doing all they could to strip the ball), or losing yardage.
