Looks like the same old Cardinals to me. Can’t believe they’re 4-0.
A few things, though it has been years since I went to a Saints game. If you drive, be very careful about where you park. There are fleets of tow trucks around the Superdome, and they’ll tow you with anything close to a valid reason.
Also, sadly, as a visiting fan, you probably want to keep a low profile, especially on your way out if the Saints lose. I would not wear a Chargers jersey or anything similar. Might not want to even have a Chargers bumper sticker on the car if you value your paint/windows/tires. Alcohol flows freely in and around the stadium. Bad things can happen.
If the game is close, the stadium will be rocking. Almost literally. That place will be packed, and LOUD.
Anybody hear an injury report on Amendola? It looked like a broken collarbone.
Kevin Kolb has been sacked 16 times over the past two games (and still has time for one more tonight). Peyton Manning has been sacked 16 times or less* in six different seasons.*
Didn’t see the game, but the recap I read said Pete Caroll was trying to call a time out before the Rams fake field goal that resulted in a TD pass by the holder. I’d say he used that timeout already back in week one.
The recap I read was seriously screwed up. :smack:
Dear God, garygnu is caught in some kind of Groundhog Day time loop. Somebody help him!
Great win for the Rams. Losing Amendola to a shoulder injury is going to be a big hit for them. Quick or Steve Smith are going to have to step up FAR more then they have so far. Even with a depleted corps of DTs and no safties other than Mikell, our D is becoming a force to be reckoned with.
Speaking of Mikell, two guys knocked the fuck out on field in one game was a scary thing to watch, especially after the Cribbs hit on Sunday. This is becoming wierdly common this year. Thankfully there have been no serious neck injuries from it.
Would anyone have believed at the start of the season that NFC West would end up 2 wins away from the ENTIRE DIVISION BEING OVER .500?
and yes, that I had to shout.
“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Week 3A of the NFL season…”
Pete Carroll? Isn’t he the coach of the Seahawks?
Here’s a funny fake Facebook conversation among NFL QBs…
Normally I think that kind of stuff is dumb, but this actually made me laugh.
Great news for Dallas fans, The Cowboys won’t lose this week!
Bad news for Dallas fans, that means you have two weeks to stew over a MNF ass whippin’.
ETA: Thank gawd for the Texans.
I had the TV on while I was in the kitchen, so I’m not sure who the ESPN pre-game talking heads were, but I swear I heard one of them call Romo a great quarterback. I also heard at least a couple of them pick Dallas to win the game. I’m thinking, “Do these guys even WATCH pro football?”
I will give Romo credit, he did almost set a record-
For most picks in a half.
Well, I plan to wear my jersey, but A) I’m guessing Saints fans are less hostile since the SuperBowl win and, B) people don’t typically pick a fight with me. And I won’t have a car for anyone to casually desecrate either, but thanks for the heads up. I’m looking forward to a very fun night - I’ll recap sometime next week.
WTF, Cleveland?
Trent Richardson is a beast.
By the looks of it, Weeden, Gordon, Cribbs and Bradshaw are contributing as much to the Browns as Richardson.
Weeden just contributed to the Giants.
ETA: So did Cribbs.
