Wow, this is some of the worst announcing I’ve ever heard,
NFL TV rules are annoying as hell. Why must there always be 2 games on when the home team is playing and 1 game in the other slot? Currently I’m stuck watching Browns-Giants here in Chicago with nothing on the other channel. Browns-Giants is of zero interest to us in Chicago while Packers-Colts, two fanbases heavily represented in Chicago and close in proximity, is no where to be found. Also Redskins-Falcons and Steelers-Eagles are both much more photogenic games than this pig.
Then when the Bears are on, we’ve got the only truly marquee game going on the other channel. Of course when the Bears are playing at Noon we get 2 early games and the lone afternoon game is always Raiders or Chargers versus someone crappy. Can we just finally do away with the “National” game shit and put 2 games on both channels every week?
Packers are making me ill and I do not like Rodgers demeanor.
I am just so glad that the NFL protected me from my dark desires to watch the last two minutes of the Colts-Packers instead of the first two minutes of the late game on the other channel. Thank you NFL! Wait, I have the 21st century on line one…
Hahahahahaha!!!
Now Bears, avoid the trap game.
Is that a rule? Doesn’t seem to be the case for me. I had two games in the early game, and my home team (Patriots) are on now and I have no game on the other channel.
I am officially on the Dom Capers must go train.
I have no idea what the rule is. Every year someone explains it to me and it never makes any sense. All I know is that EVERY SINGLE WEEK the alternate game is always on when the Bears play. I’m guessing that you are getting the benefit of actually being the “National” game.
In the Bears game these refs are letting the defenders absolutely mug the WRs on routes. Apparently it’s okay to hand fight all the way until the ball arrives at the target.
Three words: Red Zone Channel.
That would be great if my cable system offered it (I’m assuming that’s the NFL Network).
No, it’s a different channel. I think it’s always pay-per-view, $50 per season on my provider. Included on Direct TV for free I think. I think it’s available pretty much everywhere.
The Patriots have a damned good running game this season. And if Kraft and the rest of the New England management are still on the fence about Welker after today’s game, screw 'em. Just give Welker more money, he’s clearly worth it.
Too bad their defense (well, mostly their secondary) is still pretty shit.
Time Warner didn’t have the NFL network in my area until last week. They finally came to an agreement and now it is available at extra cost.
Ooh, any chance of the media coming out and giving Rodgers crap all week for this? It would be nice that someone besides Cutler gets it once in a while.
Bears defense is just killing me in Fantasy today…I’ll take that trade off I guess. Adrian Peterson needs to get a TD for me to balance that out.
Good lord, the Panthers suck so much harder than I thought they would this year. I don’t think Rivera can coach, and I’m starting to have doubts about Newton. The play calling is so inconsistent it’s comical.
Seattle’s defense makes everybody look bad, it’s their offence that’s been inconsistent. That last red zone drive was a testament to size and speed.
This “Ray, meet Tom” ad has been cracking me up all day.
Cute kid.
What’s with Drew’s kid wearing earphones? I’m surprised not to have heard mention of this before but tonite the two shots of him both had him so protected.
I do not know if the kid has medical issues, but the Superdome is LOUD. Really, really LOUD.
Brees got his record, but the Saints are down by 3 at the half.
