Watching Hoyer get tackled in slow motion everything about his fall looked unnatural. At one point his right foot was left and his helmet was next to the back of his other ankle.
First time watching these teams. Impressed that Mario Williams seems to still be pretty damn good. Not overly impressed with either of these offenses. Manuel is pedestrian at best and Weedon is too slow. I may have to turn off this game before I hit my “bad football” limit.
That was a GREAT play by Benjamin. Dude has some serious wheels!
What’s with the Browns and having amazing punt returners?
Thank god for Benjamin or I’d have slipped into a coma watching this game.
Was that PI call buffalo got for their only TD legit? I was late to the bar. Seems like they’ve been pretty well stuffed otherwise.
Kruger being held on every play Harrison style.
Now EJ Manuel is hurt. Crazy game.
Enjoy the free bullshit TD. Nothing like PI there.
The DPI that was just called was legit.
Did they really replace yellow penalty flags with pink? Bad idea with all the other pink crap that can litter the field if it comes off a player.
Josh Fucking Gordon. Just throw it to him 25 times a game. Doesn’t matter if he’s covered.
How is it that Jim Brown wasn’t already in the Ring of Honor or whatever they just inducted him into tonight?
Desmond Bryant left the stadium in an ambulance. Fuck. Best player on the defense
Not sure if Haslam is a crook but its hard not to like a guy who laughs like that.
First place Cleveland Browns.
And the Jeff Tuel experiment ends in tears. At least EJ Manuel, for as mediocre as he is, won’t have to worry about a controversy.
Now, now. Let’s not get too ahead of ourselves here! Baltimore has a winnable game against the Fins, the Bengals will probably show up at home against the Pats and the Steelers…well, I can guarantee you they will not lose this weekend. Call me a pyschic, but I am predicting that right now. Going out on a limb and everything…
I don’t know how to feel right now.
Happy for the win. The people needed it. The 1st quarter couldn’t have gone any worse, and I honestly can’t believe they were able to come back from that. But they showed a lot of heart, and Travis Benjamin rules, and that D is for real.
And yet, despite the win, I still have no faith in Weeden. Any hope that he was just unlucky for the first couple games have been dispelled, because the offense with Weeden and the offense with Hoyer is like night and day. Weeden simply doesn’t have the vision and the pocket presence to be an NFL quarterback. End of story. Unless the receiver is dragging across the field wide open, Weeden won’t throw it. He just can’t seem to anticipate where the receivers are going to be and thus ends up throwing everything late. He needs to make a decision as the receiver is going into his break, not 3 seconds after, and he can’t seem to do it.
So I feel weird. They could go 9-7, they could go 4-12, neither would surprise me at this point. So I don’t know whether I should keep following them and open myself up to unnecessary aggravation every week, or whether I should resign myself to another losing year and get fired up for next year. All I know is I feel really bad for Hoyer. What a shame.
He was renewing his vows.
Hoyer’s out for the year with a torn ACL. That really sucks for Cleveland. The kid was playing well.
Yeah, I predict it will be like the late 80s all over again: the Broncos will go to the SB after narrowly defeating the (Cinderella) Browns, the way they did three out of four consecutive years, all of north Ohio will cry “not again!” and the Cuyahoga will crest its banks with their tears.
