NFL Week 6

The biggest factor is that the Lions played Monday night. That said the Niners had to travel, which is worse?

Travel. The Lions played at home last week, too.

This looks like just about every Eagles game so far. Except the lucky bounces going Philly’s way for once. I wonder if they’ll blow yet another dominating first half performance.

I know most don’t like them but I like the Packers throwback uniforms.

I think they’re hideous, but those knit caps with the fuzzy yarn ball on top make me smile.

Just a few bullshit penalties in the 49er Lion game, and I’ll include the illegal chop block called on the Lions.

The meltdown started early this week for Philly

Another tipped INT for Vick. Holy shit. Dunno if I can watch another collapse.

The Lions/49ers game is a game of lines. they are pounding each other. I wonder who has the stamina?

Horsecollar? Wow.

Horsecollar!?? indeed. These officials are out of their minds.

(I’m glad Mike Pereira didn’t try to cover for the refs.)

I was actually mildly optimistic towards the Browns vs Raiders game because they had the bye week to get their shit together, but Joe Haden is out and at this point I’m pretty sure he’s the best player on the team - the secondary will get their ass kicked without him.

I can kinda see where that came from; it was a horse collar, just not one that actually resulted in the player going down. It looked a bit worse at game speed, too.

This SF/Detroit game has been peculiar. It feels like the Lions have been better in every way, and if I was only half-watching and didn’t have a scoreboard, I’d guess it was like Lions 27 49ers 10, yet the 49ers lead.

Oh god, another one of these for Detroit. He wasn’t even going to the ground during the process of the catch.

I feel like the ruling on the field will stand. Not happy.

I was wrong. Yay

Well, they made up some bullshit explanation (“and enough time”?) to make the right call, but ffs can we get this rule revised?

Was a little hopeful until the Garcon fumble returned for a touchdown. I’m not sure that was a fumble but I understand completely that you can’t really turn it over given the evidence.

It’s going to be a long year. The next places for wins seem to be Jacksonville and Carolina in a few weeks. The problem with those games is that I’m not sure Indy can score on the Jags and I’m not sure they can stop the Carolina run.

We shall see. Andrew Luck better be good. At least he can learn from Peyton, I guess.

He was still waving his arms around with the ball in one hand when he dropped it. I could see that call going either way without it being a screwjob.

The Lion game is still a good game. No free rides. Every play someone gets planted. The niners are a better team than I thought they were. They are a physical team.
I wanted the Lions to get Ginn when he came out. He is scary.
