The top 3 picks in this year’s draft were on the field together today. Anyone recall when this may have happened before? I’m sure it’s possible but I can’t come up with a answer.
Also, watching Young and Stroud face off I would say both have had moments of good play, and both had moments where they looked like what they are, rookies learning the NFL. If I had to prognosticate with this very limited data, I would say Stroud has a more promising future.

When done well, I completely agree. The recent rule change, which allows each player to wear more than one helmet over the course of the year, has enabled several of this year’s throwbacks (Titans/Oilers, Bucs, Seahawks), as it’s allowed the teams to use a different helmet color.
(I’ve never particularly cared for my Packers’ throwback uniforms, in large part because they’ve worn essentially the same uniform, with some minor revisions from time to time, since 1959, and modern adaptations of the older ones have often just not looked good.)

It would appear that losing to the Browns may have broken the 49er’s spirit.
Browns were running over a gassed Seahawks defense at will, easily picking up 5+ yards every time. So on their final drive, up by 3, they throw (with PJ fucking Walker) on 3rd and 2 and 3rd and 3 and fail to convert both times. I hate how NFL coaches basically will never run on third down unless it’s less than 2 yards. It’s bad strategy.
Vikings QB Kirk Cousins left the team’s victory over the Packers during the fourth quarter, with what is now believed to have been a torn Achilles tendon. Even more unfortunately for Cousins, he’s been playing on what is likely to be the final year of his current contract, and had been looking to enter free agency during the offseason.
Seattle won and the Niners lost so Seattle now has the top spot in the NFC West.
But FFS Seattle, can’t you have an easy win for once? They seemed like they were going to run away with it then just… Stopped being good. Made huge mistakes at key points.
