I, like Vegas, expect Miami to crash back down to earth tonight after Sunday’s outburst.
Pittsburgh favored at home against the Bengals? With Cincinnati coming off a bye? I don’t think so. Easy money.
Well, the good news for Tannehill last night is that he was for a bit reminiscent of Peyton Manning in his second (or third)-most successful season.
The bad news of course is that he was reminiscent of the first play of the Seattle Superbowl (not that it was necessarily either QB’s fault).
(and it was strange to me how up and down he seemed; super accurate to start, then off a bunch, then ‘screw it’ mode where he was flinging passes through tight coverage, but giving up INTs)
Looks like Roethlisberger is a GO for Sunday, so my easy money prediction to take the Bengals is maybe not quite as easy. I’d still pick Cincinnati, but it’s not as much of a lock.
Arizona went from -4.5 to -6 at Cleveland. Joe Haden is back, Josh McCown is probably starting. I say take the Browns, baby!
A really bizarre twist on the Jeremiah Ratliff cut by the Bears a couple of weeks ago. The reason police were needed is because he threatened to kill the children of the Bears staff members and announced, " I am the Devil." Clearly he has mental health issues and hopefully will get them addressed.
I know there’s been plenty of times when players have thrown tantrums after being released and it’s certainly not exclusive to the NFL, but this is the first time I can remember police being necessary.
The link to Devon Still’s Ellen video in that link still tears me up. Still (natch!), the Bengals should beat the Steelers on Sunday, Ben or no Rapist. The Bengals are far and away better on the tale of the tape other than at LB, but that’s why they play the games.
I’ve got to give Josh McCown credit. He took an incredible beating this week that would’ve killed some normal people and really hung in there and played his guts out. He’s a tough motherfucker.
They’d rather have him die on the field than play Manziel, that much is clear.
I don’t know how the O-line is so terrible at pass blocking. It must be coaching, because they were top 3 in pass blocking last year, but this year they’re just terrible at everything. They did lose their O-line coach in week 2 or something. But I think it’s mostly the new OC who has no idea how to use this O-line. They’ve gone from a top unit in the league to average at best.
“The Giants only the second team in history to put up 49 points and lose”
I know who the first is!!!
Edit: Woops, I was wrong. Checked the records and the game I was thinking of was 58-48. The 49 point loss was actually done by the Oilers. Maybe that’s why they didn’t mention the team, the NFL probably avoids mentioning disbanded franchises.
As a Bronco fan I wasn’t exactly looking forward. to tonight’s game.I figured GB would take it because Manning hasn’t exactly looked all that good this year.
But that was a pleasant surprise. And an Ass kicking. Manning with 340 yards and Rodgers with 77. Ouch. And a safety.
Suddenly I am quite a bit more confident in the Broncos.
