The Packers got a gift turnover at the Vikings 20 after a premature snap went past Favre, but only came a way with 3. That’s a win for the Vikings.
Now Percy brings the kickoff back to the 15. Woot!

Fucking penalties.
Things Mike McCarthy is good at:
Eating Bic Macs.
Tucking pens into his hat.
Things he is not good at:
AD gets in (barely) on 4th and goal at the 1 after the Packers gave the Purple a gift first down with a ridiculous penalty by Jolly.
7-3 Vikings. It’s been a dogfight so far.
Actually, I’d call it Packer Mistakes 7, Packers 3. They’re beating themselves out there.
Well, in that case it’s Packer mistakes 7, Viking mistakes 3.
Vince Young is 10/12 for 80 yards and a touchdown as I write this. He should retire right now.
Favre to Shank. 14-3 Vikes. No Packer mistakes on that drive, just good Vikings offense.
And I believe that’s the first TD Favre has ever thrown against the Packers.
Forgot about the Titans, but looks right now like they’ll be off the schnide by 7 o’clock too.
Just wait until Young gets settled in and the mistakes start flowing.
Another WTF penalty by the Packers.
This is getting ugly.
And another asinine penalty probably negating a stop by the defense. Favre’s final gift to the Packers might be getting McCarthy fired.
Nice defensive stop.
First play for the offense… wait for it … .a penalty.
A nice first down, and then … take a guess.
I can wait …
That’s right. A penalty. Wipe out that first down.
Nice to see the pass blocking get back on track. The NFL record was in jeopardy after last week.
Can I please get a TD pass to Jennings at some point today?
Watch for it in the second half. It will be negated by an illegal formation penalty. You heard it here first.
I’d call it halvies. Williams blowing past Wells (I miss Spitz) made 2 on the O Line and 2 on Rodgers.
I’m seriously reconsidering my support of MM. Looking at the way Favre is running the Vikings game with quick, short passes, I get a bit jealous of the playcalling. And they actually have running plays.
They actually have an offensive line. I think that helps.
The Panthers are tearing the Cardinals a new one right now - and Jonathan Stewart is vulturing all of DeAngelo’s touchdowns, that bastard!
Vikings up over the Pack 17-3 at halftime.
The Packers have gotten some penalties (though they did get a huge break from on that 1st quarter fumble), but they’re also getting flat outplayed. The Vikings defensive line has been especially solid. A-Rodge is still running for his life as much as he was in the first game. Favre has been methodical and mistake free. The Packers have mostly bottled up Peterson, but he’s busted free for some chunks here and there.
Vikes get the ball first after the half.
It’s better to be ahead by 14 than behind by 14, but I’ve seen too many of these border battles to relax. They almost always tighten up.
