NFL Wild Card Round

So, anyone else get the feeling that after all this talk about it, we won’t even see overtime during the playoffs?

Great game. I really thought Vick was going to pull a comeback out of his hat in the end. But, the Packer Defense put an end to that. I was expecting the Eagles to do worse, but the defense came through (as did some dropped passes.) I have been really impressed with the Packer defense this year, and this game was no exception. Clay Matthews is pretty awesome, and he didn’t even have an exceptionally good game today. (Not bad, just not devastating like he can be.)

Only coaching complaint I had is I thought the Packer coach should have pushed for more points at the end of the half. I feel like letting time run out is really a waste. And, points there would have been devastating. But, hey, they didn’t need it. So, it’s not much of a complaint.

Good game all around (except for one big way. :)). Let’s go Eagles, next year! AND pitchers and catchers report in just over a month!

Plus, next week is bound to be filled with some awesome games. And, if the Bears face the Packers in the NFC Championship game it’s going to be kind of incredible.

Who are you going to root for if the Packers go to Chicago in two weeks?

The Packers dropped way too many passes to impress me but if they can correct this and make a run I will be damn impressed. No matter what, this has been an entertaining and crazy NFL playoff season.

The Packers are not going to make it that far, but I would root for Nazi SS if they were playing the Packers.

I seem to remember Seattle beating the Bears earlier this season but not one commentator has mentioned it. Terry Bradshaw basically said that Seattle caught lightning in a bottle and has no chance vs. the Bears.

Don’t you think that someone would at least mention the fact that Seattle won the head to head match up

Dio, I just have to say that having an apoplectic Vikings fan around makes this day a little sweeter. Thank you.

Did you ever notice that Aaron Rodgers’ face looks like a vagina?

Damn, thought so.

Still, I am more than pleased to second the following:

Many long, lonely nights have I spent pondering this very question.

I heard it before this weekend. But really, the Bears played like crap that game. They were 0-12 on 3rd down, Cutler had a 69.4 rating and had a safety.

I love the robot. I think he should have his own show.

I’m not saying Seattle is a better team or should be favored, but even in this thread there are Bears fans that wanted the Seattle match up for an easier run to the super bowl.

Maybe Seattle has the Bears number.

The 6 sacks on Cutler might account for that.

By the by, has any player pulled a more pathetic move than Vick’s flop early on when one of the Packers placed a hand on his shoulder. He might as well have swan-dived into an Olympic-sized swimming pool filled with estrogen.

I’d much much rather play the Seahawk than the Packers. The Seahawks beat the Bears when the Bears played like shit. The Packers beat the Bears when the Bears played ok. The bye week is a pretty big dividing line for the Bears this season. They played much better after it when the O-line was sorted out (it still sucks, but not as bad).

I soooooo badly want the Packers to win so that the NFL pundits’ brains explode because a “7 and 9” team hosts the NFC championship.

Yes I am assuming the Seahawks will win their game.

Don’t go denying this when he’s QBing the Vikings in 10-15 years.

He’s going to have to start shaving a little closer if he wants to keep up with modern times :stuck_out_tongue:

I had almost forgotten how you used to foam at the mouth at the mention of Favre, until he became a Viking this is…

My favorite memory of the Fox robot was the playoffs when Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles debuted, which was sometime that January. The Fox robot was doing his stupid thing, then the terminator music came on and a skeletal terminator killed the Fox robot. It was awesome, and if I’m remembering it wrong and the Fox robot killed the terminator, lalala I can’t hear you.

In the NFC I’m a Pack fan all the way this postseason. Go Pack Go! Ideally they’d lose to the Jets in the Superbowl, or beat whomever else makes it.
