NFL Wild-Card Weekend

Wow, that was perilously close to another “Tuck Rule,” looking at the replay.

What the Bears won?

Oh, that’s right.

What happened to the tuck rule???

<sigh> Game ended exactly like it started. Oh well.

At least we got it to overtime.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

:sighs:

Well shit.

Wow – helluva no-call for that face mask during fumble…

You just knew the pass protection and Rodgers hanging onto the ball would eventually be their downfall.

Wow. What an exciting game. And that takes my streak to 0-4.

It was a good game. We waited all weekend for it, and the ending was spectacular. One for the ages.

Oh, I tried that two weeks ago. Apparently if you ever think officiating affects games, you have no testicles. I don’t see the connection, either, but that’s what I was told.

This. The kid does have one Favresque trait: he thinks that he has to win the game.

Although they almost hit the home run on first down, I hate those types of plays from that location on the field on first down because it puts too much pressure on your offense to make 10 yards in two downs. Personally, I’d have preferred seeing them go back to a normal set and start putting Ahman Green back into the game in overtime.

Tuck rule doesn’t matter , ball never hit the ground. It’s either a fumble or an interception.

The ball never hit the ground, you tit.

First, I gotta’ agree about the face mask non-call. Second, Bijou Drains is right. On the replay, it looked like the ball came out of Rodgers’ hand, bounced off someone’s foot (which was flailing up around knee height at the time), and into the hands of the defensive player. The ball never hit the ground.

…or a punt return.

I only wish there was something to take away from the game. We learned nothing. While it’s nice to have playoff experience with our young team, we already knew all the things that cost us the game (iffy pass protection, weak secondary depth, some over-aggression, Rodgers holding the ball too long and DON’T FUCKING TURN THE BALL OVER).

On the upside, I was impressed with the resilience of this team, especially the offense, however. They never quit, never gave up, and played to the end. But next year, Al Harris will be older, as will Charles Woodson. And Clifton and Tauscher need to be replaced. But I like our team, and I think they’ll have a good year next year.

It did looked like they missed a face mask call. But I think Arizona would have had the ball anyway, that was after the fumble recovery.

Warner=HOF

This.

I knew Rodgers would choke like a dog in the end. It’s just too bad we won’t get to see Favre road grade the Packers three times in one season, but that’s ok. I’ll still get to see the Cheeseheads eat their hearts out when #4 hoists the Lomardi Trophy in Purple

McCarthy will be out. It’s clear he was wrong on Favre. Th Packers might want to take a look at shopping Rodgers too. I’m not sure they’re going to want to hang on to a proven loser at the most important position.

[Nelson laugh] HA ha [/Nelson]

It must be weird, knowing nothing about football but watching it so often.
