At halftime, I am really glad I didn’t go with Garrard. 5/9 28 yds.
D. Mason looks to be a really good pick, 83 yds. Shows how good I am at picking receivers. I am in last place in that part for a very good reason. I suck.

…and Ray Rice has 151 rushing yards on *eight *carries.
Is mason out though?
Rice was my 2nd rb pick but jones is doing fine
In this competition, no one has picked Schaub this week. Pheww.
And Andre Johnson has 184 of Shaub’s yards.
Imagine a trio of Schaub, Rice and Johnson. 671 yards…at halftime.
I’ve got Schaub and Rice in the Auction league, plus Brandon Marshall and his 100+ first-half receiving yards. Rice also has 53 receiving yards…
No… Mason has 83 yards on four catches (including a score).

self immolate
Here was my thought process while making my picks last night:
“Okay, still got Thomas Jones, Ray Rice, and Jamal Charles and they’ve all got good matchups this week. But… this is gonna be Thomas Jones’ last easy game, whereas Charles gets Cleveland next week and Rice finishes up in Oakland… better use Jones for now”
“Okay, Andre Johnson has a good matchup, but he’s going to be playing in warm weather for the rest of the year, so I better save him for the shitty weather games at the end of the season.”
I charted out all the players I had left, and their remaining matchups… so I’m probably putting more work in than everyone else. But if I had just done less work, and just picked whatever the best matchup was this week without looking forward, I could have a ridiculous Ray Rice/Andre Johnson/Philip Rivers combo this week.
Yep, think long, think wrong. Campbell is going to have a 200 yd game. Dollars to donuts Eli has a 300 yard game tonight.
296 + 99 + 43 = 438
I’m not sure what possessed me to take Jackson over Charles in that game. Also Reggie Wayne versus Champ Bailey? :smack:
Rivers 272
Thomas Jones 99
Mason 94
465
Not bad, but what could’ve been…
Week 14:
Passing - Jason Campbell - WAS
Rushing - Chris Johnson - TEN
Receiving - Miles Austin - DAL
222 + 117 + 71 = 410 yds
Gained 10 yds on RNATB Yippee
Yep, Eli lights it up for 391 yds. Think long, think wrong. I pissed away 169 yds.
Now, who owes me a dozen Krispy Kremes?:dubious:
Man, I suck at this. I thought about both Marshall and Desean Jackson, and had Eli left as well…
Peyton - 220
Ricky - 108
Old Steve Smith - 83
Total of 401.
David Garrard - 139
Jamaal Charles - 143
Anquan Boldin - 40
lieu- Week 14: 322
Garrard, you and Boldin owe Charles an apology.
See, this doesn’t seem possible so it requires some special talent, right? Perhaps it should be a separate competition next year.
Don’t get near me. I’ve caught some kinda bug.
In fairness, Eli was hardly an obvious pick. The Eagles have one of the best pass defenses in the league, and arguably the best secondary (when healthy).
Eli was my initial pick this week. And the reason why I changed was the bad weather in the Northeast.
And FTR, I do not look at any defensive stats when I am making my picks. And it looks like I moved into 3rd place. Woo hoo.
