Standings are updated

We’re all bunched up this week.

Week 14 scores:

  1. SenorBeef 465
  2. Omni 438
  3. Wilson 411
  4. notfrommensa 410
  5. RNATB 400
  6. Lieu 322
  7. VarlosZ 297

3rd place!!! Coming after VarlosZ next!! And I can take comfort that my lowest score (298 yds) is the highest amongst lowest scores. That might mean something as most (if not all) of the stud players should have been drafted already.

If I had only stuck with Eli this past weekend, I would be within a 100 yds of VarlosZ and 200 yds of RNATB. Ifs, Ands, and Buts, phooey.

I’ll make my pick Sunday morning.

I think I may regret this because it screws up my choices for the next two weeks, but I’m gonna take Tony Romo tonight. I wanted Jason Campbell against NYG, but I’m not willing to risk a blizzard or something.

Weeks 1-14 (so I don’t repeat)
[del]Passing - Tom Brady, Kyle Orton, Joe Flacco, Jay Cutler, Peyton Manning, Matt Schaub, Brett Favre, Philip Rivers, Curt Warner, Tony Romo, Aaron Rodgers, Donovan McNabb, Drew Brees, Jason Campbell
Rushing - Reggie Bush, Ray Rice, Ray Rice, Chris Johnson, Adrian Petersen, Cedric Benson, Ryan Grant, Thomas Jones, Mike Bell, Ronnie Brown, Steven Jackson, Michael Turner, Rashard Mendenhall, Chris Johnson
Receiving - Terrell Owen, Tim Hightower, Dallas Clark, Reggie Wayne, Steve Smith (NYG) , T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Andre Johnson, Antonio Gates, Larry Fitzgerald, Hines Ward, Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Sidney Rice, Miles Austin [/del]
Week 15

Passing - Eli Manning NYG
Rushing - Frank Gore - SF
Receiving - Brandon Marshall - DEN

I think I’ll either hit a “Grand Slam”, or “strike out looking” with these picks. Oops, baseball metaphor, and we are talking about Football. Giants are backed into a corner with the Cowboys beating the Saints tonight (so far). And Eli is playing against my Deadskins, and Brees lit them up a couple of weeks ago.

Alright, 312 for Romo, not bad.
I’ll take Jamal Charles and Anquan Boldin to go with him. Might change my mind later, but those are my picks for now.

[del]QB: Kurt Warner, Drew Brees, Matt Ryan, Matt Schaub, Tony Romo, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Donovan McNabb, Peyton Manning, Phillip Rivers, Joe Flacco, Brett Favre, Tony Romo, David Garrard
RB: LaDanian Tomlinson, Adrian Peterson, Ryan Grant, Brandon Jacobs, Jerome Harrison, Maurice Jones-Drew, DeAngelo Williams, Stephen Jackson, Michael Turner, Ray Rice, Rashard Mendenhall, Ricky Williams,
Jonathan Stewart, Chris Johnson
WR: Larry Fitzgerald, Randy Moss, Santonio Holmes, Chad Ochocinco, Brandon Marshall, Steve Smith 1.0, Steve Smith 2.0, Miles Austin, Andre Johnson, Donald Driver, Wes Welker, Reggie Wayne, Mike Sims-Walker, Roddy White[/del]
Eli Manning (gulp)
Thomas Jones
Anquan Boldin (gulp)

Week 15 (Correction)

Passing - [del]Eli Manning - NYG[/del]Ben Roethlisbergber - PIT
Rushing - Frank Gore - SF
Receiving - Brandon Marshall - DEN

I can’t gain much round on VarlosZ if we both have the same quarterback. I’ll save Eli for the Dome.

[del]matt hasselbeck, santonio holmes, cedric benson, kurt warner, clinton portis, andre johnson, matt schaub, ryan grant, reggie wayne, kerry collins, darren mcfadden, jerricho cotchery, tony romo, rashard mendenhall, roddy white, tom brady, maurice jones-drew, nate burleson, ben roethlisberger, thomas jones, wes welker, david garrard, kevin smith, steve smith (car), peyton manning, brandon jacobs, vincent jackson, drew brees, thomas jones, greg jennings, eli manning, chris johnson, santana moss, Carson Palmer, Ricky Williams, Anquan Boldin, Brett Favre, Jonathan Stewart, Randy Moss, Aaron Rodgers, Ray Rice, Marques Colston[/del]

I still have AP, Marion Barber and Brandon Jacobs left… oops.

Arizona you fuckfaces, do you really need to rush Fitzgerald back this week against Detroit? Ugh, now do I want Fitz or Boldin?

As a Jacobs/Barber owner, you’re not missing much, Wilson.

I want to trade Frank Gore for Jerome Harrison…please. Cleveland players are not even on my radar.

Last week, internal dialogue: “You’ve still got Andre Johnson to use. Do it now?” “Nah, he’s got a great matchup against New England’s crappy secondary in nice warm weather in Texas in week 17, that’s the ideal time”

[Andre Johnson receives 34 passes for 512 yards that week]

This week: “Andre Johnson? Nah, Arizona has Detroit so you definitely have to go with one of their receivers, plus there’s still that juicy matchup in the last week of the season”

[Andre Johnson receives only 24 for 378 yards this time]

If I end up using him in week 17 and he gets 12 yards, I am blowing this motherfucker up!

Anyway,

Romo 312
Charles 154
Boldin 72
538

Pretty good.

I have yet to put my two cents on recommendations for next year to improve the pool. The QB vs RB/WR descrepancy is a real one. I would recommend that you get two RB picks on odd weeks, and two WR picks on even weeks (or vice versa).

I think a multiplier may be simpler and effective, but that’s an option to consider.

890 yds receiving in two weeks?:dubious:

See, I don’t think it’s that big a deal. I’m in third place in the quarterback standings, after all.

Im glad VarlosZ took Eli. It forced my hand to take Roethlisberger and his **503 yds **.

Roethlisberger - 503 yds
Gore - 107 yds
Marshall - 74 yds

**684 yds **woo hoo
Go Redskins Beat the Giants, by a 10-7 score.

Wow.
