Well Phoenix is not a bad draw for the Wings in my opinion. A bit shorter trip than the west coast(and an earlier start time too). And Nashville is no good, they hit like trucks and even if you win you are hurt going forward.
The Canucks are a much better team this year, while the Hawks have lost key players. The fact they couldn’t pull a do or die single point off a game that was meaningless to Detroit attests to their downhill slide this year.
Although I would have much preferred the Canucks playing the Kings or Stars, one big advantage of taking the Hawks out is it will be a confidence boost for the later rounds. I’m feeling confident they’ll beat the Hawks, say in 5 games.
And if they don’t, well - don’t travel through Vancouver without wearing your riot gear.
