I’m think I’m gonna go put $20 on the Caps to win the Cup.
Caps overcame some really shitty officiating. I am cautiously optimistic about our being in the cup.
I blame Russian interference. You know Putin’s pulling for his boy Ovi :D.
How can you not like Ovi?
If the Caps beat the Knights for the Cup, I’d still be happy for Ovi.
Ovi is awesome.
I’m a Pens fan. That’s how.
(I don’t HATE him, at least not like I used to. He seems not to be such an asshat nowadays. It’s nothing against him PERSONALLY. But it’s a rivalry, you know? Tom Wilson, on the other hand, can FOAD. As can the Flyers entire roster)
Oh my God, the arena is full of ghosts!
NO idea where else to post this, but IT NEEDED TO BE POSTED.
Putin has another go at it, tightly checked.
This annual demonstration subjects KHL players to bucketloads of embarrassment - lots of youtube goodness. The ultiimate blend of pathos, humour, and derision.
ETA: I’d fucking sloughfoot’im. ![]()
woot
The Knights’ defensemen did a good job the majority of the night keeping their goal area clear so Fleury could see shots.
Funny that the Jets had the best home record during the season, and play in what is unanimously regarded as the loudest (most likely because it’s the second smallest) rink in the league, yet they’ve been relatively ballocks at home these play-offs.
Here’s a fun stat, speaking of fun at home: the two previous play-off series where the Caps won the first two on the road, they ended up losing, 4 - 2.
Yes, that’s four straight losses, both times.
I have no problem seeing a reversal of that trend.
This was a big win for Tampa Bay, but they still have a long row to hoe.
So what’s with all the rampant shitty home ice play these play-offs?
Who knew that Las Vegas had a hockey team? Or that they were coached by Don Rickles?
Technically, Las Vegas doesn’t have a hockey team; some fictional place called Vegas does and they play here in Las Vegas.
Someday…
WOOt
I share season tickets but due to a variety of reasons I’m attending only my second playoff game of the year tonight. Which version of the Caps will be there tonight?
I think the Big Caps will show up, the ones from Game 1. They can smell it now, and Ovi wants it bad. They’re not gonna let a little thing like being in Tampa Bay stop them tonight.
Just hope that Stamkos, Kucherov and Hedman don’t get going again.
Scary.
Another annoying stat: Tampa have won all six playoff games they’ve played at Capital One.
Aren’t streaks made to be broken?
Bo - So was that a dry willy?
