Nicklz vent's and says fuck alot

Fuck My Job. There I said it, they are hiring another person which will cut into everyones hours, they don’t even hire good people. Everyone they hire are lacking the social skills to work at a place like that I helped this one kid out in training, he was so nervous speaking with the hotel guests his hands would shake and his voice was tremble, don’t get me wrong he was a nice kid, but what a fucking loser.

Fuck, Fuck, Fuck, Thats it I’m going back to car sells, I made a shit load of money doing that but fuck all the damn hours you have to put into it. (70hrs a week)
And not to mention some of the other sellsmen who will stab you in the back, to steal your customer.

Definitely fuck my job and, I’m going to sell cars again, maybe it’s not the most respectable job, but itt’ll more than pay my bills.

Ummm, surely at least one of the people your bosses hired is qualified?

So then, based on the fact that he was nervous (unless you’re saying he’s a loser based on things beside this which you don’t detail), he’s a “fucking loser”? God forbid that a kid be nervous when he’s new to a job. Would that he had the social abilities of a mature adult such as yourself, Nicklz.

iampunha–Yeah he is a fucking loser, so what. He lacks the ability to interact with people fluently, he studders for crying out loud I thought they hired Elmer Fudd, for Christ Sake!

kamandi–Yes I’m great at my job, but then again I’m the night auditor, not a front desk clerk. Yeah sure I do attend the desk in the middle of the night, but I may talk to four people throughout my entire shift.
I’ve covered for front desk clerks during eveniing shifts on occasion, and I can tell you, they have to continually interact with guest staying at the hotel, and many of them are buisness people who have no friends, and they will come up to the front desk to chat with me at 3 o’clock in the morning because they don’t have anything else to do. Or likke this one guy who has no family left, his health is failing and he stays at the hotel, and the employees are his only real friends. People like this, that stay in the hotel, constantly tell me at the inabilities of the people that work their in the mornings and afternoon shifts.

Then I on the nightshift position have to fix all their mistakes that they’ve made all throughout the day. I guess our manager just isn’t that great a judge of character from right off the bat, or she would have been able to pick up on these employees inabilities

So based solely on these things, he’s a loser? Just trying to make sure I understand.

Seems perfectly valid to me. It’s not like Nicklz is judging the kid based solely on his inability to spell, punctuate, or use grammar correctly.

Nicklz’s employer hired bj0rn?

Ah, the irony! You beat me to it, JeffB!

Nicklz, this kid may be a “loser” to you because you see him as timid and inarticulate. I wonder if he considers you a “loser” as well, because of your “inability to spell, punctuate, or use grammar correctly”. Ya think?

If by ‘studder’ you mean stutter or stammer, please read on.

I have a stammer. It’s not so bad now but when I was younger it was a real problem. I went through school, college and early jobs with some people thinking I was mentally deficient because I could not speak effectively.

My mother would send me to the shop for 2lb of sugar and I would return with a bottle of milk because that was easier for me to say. We ate lots of rice pudding and cereals in our house as a result.

I was once asked to read a passage of English in class and sat there for three minutes trying to get the first word out of my mouth.

To cut a long story short, I entered the computer industry in my twenties as a programmer and worked up to project manager. I had to use the telephone practically all day and every day. I had to meet with fairly high-ranking people within our customer base and get the job done. Which I did.

I have been on television and radio (3 times). I have forced myself into difficult situations merely to prove to myself that I could do the same as everybody else.

I did not lose.

What this guy needs from you is some understanding. He needs you to be patient with him and the last thing he needs is your anger. Presumably your employer hired him in the full knowledge that he has a stammer. I suggest you get on with being a decent human being for a change and stop going on about your own problems.

Sometime in the future something may happen to you which changes your own circumstances so that you require help and understanding from other people. I hope you get it.

Oh, and another thing.
Ffffffuck Yyyyou.

No, I think he means that he’s a “doctor” ::wink wink, nudge nudge::.

But more seriously: I’m rather curious about the phenomenon of stammering, but I’m rather worried that my questions might seem offensive. Would you be willing to answer questions about your stammering?

As long as you’re not with the FBI I’ll answer anything you like.

Let’s not hi-jack this thread though. Start another one somewhere if you want to post some questions.

In all honesty the kid is alright, he stutters or studders (whatever)
I’m nice to his face, that has to count for something, right?
There has been times he’ll do something stupid, it will take me every bit of will power to stop myself from pointing and laughing.

Big News Flash
NOT EVERYONE WAS BORN EQUAL
SOME PEOPLE ARE LOSERS
AND SOME ARE JUST ASSHOLES

I assume you are the latter then?

I used to have horrible speech problems. I’m now an actor because of speech classes and people’s encouragement.

Shut the fuck up–you don’t know what it’s like. I STILL get teased because of a slight lisp.

You said it, baby.

Nicklz, regarding your original post I think you are right to go back to selling cars.

Firstly, this loser you have to put up with might get some support from your replacement.

Secondly, if a person with a stammer wants to buy a car from you (yes, stammerers can drive) it might be easier to control your urge to laugh.

This is because losing a customer will cost you money, whereas laughing at a colleague, even behind his back, costs you nothing but your credibility as a human being.

Let’s try this on for size…

Hmmm…how “assholes” have anything to do with a poor, young nervous guy with a stutter is beyond me…

Nicklz - before you make fun of someone’s unfortunate speech difficulty, make sure you spell it correctly. I don’t think it’s appropriate or nice to make fun of someone’s grammar or anything (mine is less than perfect) and I’d never consider someone a “loser” because of a few grammatical errors. But in your case , it just seems so fitting to “point and laugh”.

If this kid is a “loser” for his perceived problems, so are you, bucko. So are you. More so, in fact. I doubt this young man is calling you a “loser” on a message board simply because of your appalling spelling and grammar.

Hey, it’s double-coupon day in the Pit, Nocturne, why not let him be both?

This is still the pit, is it not?

Fuck the nitpicking! So he made what appears to be an ignorant, narrow minded, non-pc, association between stuttering and being a “loser”. I think if you cared to open your own narrowed eyes you’d probably agree that there is more to it than simply stutterer=loser.

How about addressing the subject of the rant. The “Loser” is apparently incapable of doing his job adequately with out hand-holding and additional instruction. Yet is taking income away from those same individuals who must help him along.

For all of you who think we have to show compassion and understanding and help people when their job is beyond them, fuck off! You want to go to bat for me as a brain surgeon. “He’s a little shaky with the scalpel, but eventually he’ll get the hang of it.”

Didn’t think so.
