As far as the melodramatic “taking food off my table” reference, I quote a previous post by Hibbins:

No he would leave, because his yosemitebabe enforced desire to be charitable would not allow him to remain in a position that is reducing his coworkers income. Hiring someone else wouldn’t work because everone must do the charitable thing and quit, once they know they are reducing their coworkers income.
