Jackass keeps saying that the only reason why the kids were taken away is because of his politics. Knowing how things work around here I know that is not the case.

I’m back to elaborate. When I read these kinds of threads sometimes I feel frustrated that people can’t see the larger picture.
Chances are good Mr. Nazi wasn’t born a monster. If you could even call him that for the information we’ve been given regarding his behavior. I’d say there are plenty of people who have never been investigated who are more deserving of having their children removed from their homes.
What happened to him as a little, defenseless boy to bend him this way? Was it his father? If so, what happened to his father as a defenseless little boy?
Sometimes it amazes me that we aren’t all hopelessly bent considering the amount of crap we all deal with while we’re growing up.
But some of us are more mistreated, or more fragile, or more seriously damaged than others of us. Some abused children even become champions of the downtrodden. It didn’t work that way for this man. And more’s the tragedy for his children, multiple wives and himself.
As I read here I wondered how many variations of the angry comments this man had heard from his family and mentors in his life. More of same.
Don’t dare say I defend child abuse. It’s just that without some understanding of the power and vastness of scope we can hardly ever work up enough tolerance to help heal it.
Maybe it’s easier to condemn than to understand?
